Spoiler in A/N, at the end.

The scene shifted for (Y/N), and now she found herself inside a coffee shop, holding a teacup. This was undeniably peculiar.

Seated across from her was Yuna with an unrecognizable face. "(Y/N), what do you think of me?"

(Y/N) placed the teacup on the saucer. This didn't seem like a dream or illusion. "(Y/N) thinks before responding, "A bastard, that's who you are."

Yuna chuckled, then burst into uncontrollable laughter. Oddly enough, the people in the shop seemed oblivious to her presence. "Whatever you say. But, (Y/N), I'll give you a mission: protect my brother at all costs. You're closer to him than you think."

(Y/N) glared at Yuna. If she was going to ask for something, wasn't she supposed to offer something in return? "In exchange?" (Y/N) inquired.

"My body. You'll gain another body," Yuna crossed her arms. "It will be your advantage, even without the system."

Without the system? What did she mean by that? "Without the system?" (Y/N) asked. The system was like her family, there when she was all alone. She couldn't fathom a life without it.

"She failed her mission—to protect you," Yuna explained. A chill ran down (Y/N)'s spine; Yuna was truly heartless.

(Y/N) clenched her fist, her face darkened, and imaginary dark clouds seemed to spawn on her back. Yet, Yuna just laughed, as if she were watching a baby attempting to be scary. Her laughter seemed endless.

"How dare you!" (Y/N) screamed, earning bewildered glances from everyone in the cafe. Yuna vanished without a trace.

"Miss Kim, are you okay?" A boy with a scar on his face asked. He wasn't particularly handsome, but his body build resembled that of a rock.

A name appeared above his head—Christopher Park, Fighting Style: Serene Harmony. It seemed unusual for a boy to be associated with such a girly-sounding fighting style.

(Y/N) glanced at the others around her; the names above their heads were blank. Everyone, including people on the sidewalk, had blank names with full-on question marks.

"Miss Kim? Master? Are you okay?" Chris asked, his eyes filled with concern. He took a step forward, but (Y/N) stepped backward.

"I'm not Miss Kim, nor your master. I'm..." In a moment of agitation, (Y/N) found herself looking in a mirror. Her face was different, and there was a name above her head—a very familiar name. "Yuna Kim," (Y/N) whispered, fighting style: Serene Harmony, Fading Echo.

(Y/N) forced herself to calm down, adapting to her surroundings and the new scenery.

How could she change back to her original body? She grabbed the coffee with her shaking hands.

"Reaper of Incheon," a manly voice greeted her. Surprisingly, he looked younger now than in the picture she had seen.

"Taesoo Ma, King of Ansan," (Y/N) greeted, studying Taesoo's face. His right eye was still intact, and his face remained smooth.

There could only be two answers: either she had traveled back in time, or the timeline was messed up. Judging from the buildings, shops, and furnishings, she guessed it was the former.

If Yuna's power was responsible for creating the system and sending her back in time, (Y/N) wondered just how powerful Yuna truly was.

"About your brother," Taesoo began, and (Y/N) frowned. Was this the brother she needed to protect? Who was he? "He's just using you, Yuna," Taesoo warns.

If he is the brother she needed to protect, then so be it. She would do anything to return to her original timeline.

"So what? A sword is useless without an owner, like Baekho Kwon is to Gapryong Kim," (Y/N) said, feeling a sudden shock coursing through her body, as if an electric charge had surged.

Is he not the brother she was supposed to protect? (Y/N) watched as a tattoo, resembling a rose, bloomed on her wrist.

"What are you looking at?" Taesoo asked while eyeing her. She must have caught his attention after suddenly falling to the floor.

Curious, (Y/N) asked, "Can't you see the flower tattoo?" to which Taesoo shook his head, a sign of no.

Interesting. (Y/N) was intrigued. No one could see the tattoo. She had traveled back in time in a different body. Everything was interesting. Did traveling back in time mean she could change her future as (Y/N)? She wouldn't have to suffer anymore.

"Gapryong and Baekho are already dead. It's one of the many unsolved mysteries in South Korea right now," Taesoo explained, curious about why Yuna didn't seem to know about the biggest unsolved case currently.

How could she have forgotten? Even if it wasn't the talk of the town in the future, it was still one of the biggest unsolved cases even in her time.

"Yeah, I knew that," (Y/N) said, avoiding Taesoo's gaze. She almost sweat-dropped.

(Y/N) and Taesoo talked for hours. (Y/N) milked him for as much information as she could get without him realizing it. He and Yuna must have been friends of some sort, considering how much he was trying to put up with her.

"Taesoo Ma, what's our relationship? I forget," (Y/N) was genuinely curious, looking at her reflection in the coffee, slowly shaking the cup.

"You're asking me that?" Although Taesoo Ma was a man with strong beliefs, thinking that using his right hand was manly and admirable, you couldn't deny that he does look cute. "You're courting me."

(Y/N) felt her face go red at Taesoo's words. She couldn't process what he just said. "Are you sure it wasn't the opposite?" (Y/N) denied, refusing to admit it. Just what was in Yuna Kim's mind to court a guy?! No, the original Yuna must not have thought of it properly. Courting a guy? Although it was acceptable in the future, it still wasn't quite acceptable now.

"Do you want evidence?" Taesoo smiles. His smile was cute, but his words are pure evil.

"N-no," (Y/N) stuttered. If there really is evidence, she would rather not see it. She didn't want to lose her face twice in one day.

Author's note (SPOILER):

I wrote this whole ass pain in the ass time travel, what-so-ever just so I could write a few scenes with the original Hangyeol. My guy doesn't deserve a trashy family.
