Chap5: "Mixed feelings"

Yesterday was swim day, and honestly, I didn't have much fun.

I made the typical goofy face of being a pervert while watching the girls swim, and for the classes themselves, I only half-submerged to avoid having to deal with extra classes.

Now we're back in the classroom, and suddenly I find myself reflecting in my mind.

Why am I thinking about these things as if someone else is listening to me in my head? Hmm, I guess that's not really important.

But, putting aside those philosophical reflections in my mind, there is something that has me puzzled: Fuka hasn't come to talk to me in a day and a half.

I'm not complaining; in fact, you could say that its absence is like a small respite.
Maybe, just maybe, I can get back that quiet "extra" life I craved so much.

I smile at the prospect of going unnoticed, but then my deepest thought asks: Do I really want that?

It's been two days since Fuka hasn't written to me, and it's almost two days since we last saw each other...

And now that I think about it, why am I thinking about her so much? My thoughts wander, but before I can continue on this introspective journey, the doorbell rang signaling it was lunch time.

So it's time for lunch, huh? Well, it seems like my stomach is reminding me that it needs to feed from time to time.

Plus, now that I have a good amount of points for the extortion I did, I can finally enjoy a decent meal.

My points were almost in the red thanks to the not-so-brilliant suggestions of my “friends” who made me buy video games and nonsense.

Speaking of Rome, I turned my head out of the corner of my eye and saw Ike and Yamauchi approaching.

—Hey, Cid, are you coming? "Let's have lunch in my room," Ike offered me, extending the invitation to that place that, honestly, he would prefer to avoid at all costs.

No, please no. I don't want to go into that room again, ever, ever...

— Oh, go without me. "I think I want to eat alone this time," I replied, trying to avoid any further adventure in Ike's "wonderful" room.

Yamauchi looked at me in surprise and said:

— Oh really? Well, we're not going to insist. But you miss it.

I wonder, what exactly am I missing? To your secret photo gallery of the girls in our class? To your video games that are probably covered in dust and neglect? No, thanks.

After Yamauchi uttered those words of rejection, they left, taking with them the "opportunity" to enjoy whatever Ike calls "lunch in his room."

— "I think I should go too," I thought as I glanced at the time on my phone.

I left the classroom hoping to enjoy a quiet, uncomplicated lunch in the cafeteria.

Upon reaching the entrance, I settled into a chair, and a waiter approached, ready to take my order.

I decided that today was the day to treat myself a little, so I ordered the most expensive thing on the menu. It's not like I've enjoyed anything decent in the last week, between video games, unusual classes, and street fights.

After conveying my choice to the waiter, he left to tell the cooks. As I waited, I sighed internally, savoring the idea of enjoying a little solitude.

But as often happens... That desire for peace and tranquility did not last long.

— Hoooo, look who we have here — I heard an animated voice behind me.

When I turned around, I found a boy who looked older, tall, with light skin, blonde hair, and light blue eyes.
