Silence filled the ruined corridor as [Name] and Shin hid in the room at the back of the corridor which they stumbled upon whilst searching earlier that day.

"Can I nap?" [Name] asked, feeling a bit drained for some reason. Shin stared at them with slight worrry.

"You alright?"

[Name] hummed in the affirmative as they stretched a bit, yawning. They were trying to keep themself awake.

"I'm fine." With a gentle nod, [Name] replied to his words.

The guy looked at them with eyes which held a hint of worry in them. The person looked more tired than earlier and their responses were shorter than usual. Something was off.

"[Name]-"

The turquoise haired man went quiet as he felt their head fall onto his shoulder. He was about to ask about them but noticed the person had their eyes closed, so he decided to keep silent.

He could feel that their breathing wasn't as calm and steady as it could be, making him realise they weren't sleeping. But he let them have their moment anyway.

"Could you come over here and talk to us, Kanna?" Keiji's voice sounded throughout the corridor while Shin and [Name] came out of hiding, [Name] holding onto Shin's sleeve.

The person's social battery was fully drained from the previous conversations. Even after tuning the world out for about half an hour and just staying still, they couldn't bring themself to talk with anyone.

"There's nothing to talk about, is there? I don't approve of your flirting, Keiji" Shin spoke up, his eyes glancing between the high school student and detective.

A pair of purple eyes widened ever so slightly in recognition and shock as the teenage girl looked at the pair.

"Sou... I knew it...!!" Sara exclaimed, raising her voice a bit. She didn't seem to notice [Name]'s drained demeanour.

Yet someone else did.

Hazel eyes locked onto the person as they just looked around disorientated, as if their mind wasn't in the present but instead the past.

"Hey, miss Sara... On a date with Keiji? I don't think this place is all that exciting." Shin mused, mockingly looking at the small rubble and ruins in the dilapidated hallway.

"I could say the same to you two." Sara replied, attracting Shin's attention. His eyes darted to her as everyone went quiet.

"...Well, I'll get straight to the point. We want the laptop back." Keiji spoke up, focusing his gaze on Shin.

While that happened, [Name] let go of Shin and just stood on the side, trying to open another lollipop.

Shin double checked the person was alright before clearing his throat a bit and turning back to the conversation.

"You heard him. What do you think, Kanna?" Shin asked with a shrug, glancing at Kanna quickly.

The girl seemed to be in thought for a moment, looking at the policeman. Her expression was unreadable.

Just as the policeman smiled in a friendly manner, parting his lips to speak to the child in an attempt to change her mind, the girl looked away.

"...I can't do that.." Kanna mumbled, her grip on the laptop tightening as Keiji's face fell a bit. Sara just stared at the girl with a tint of anger on her complexion.
