I have a strange fascination with serial killers.
I know it sounds weird, but it's not like I'm going to give my life to them or anything like that. At least that's what I thought until I met one of my favorites in person this year.
He's long retired from life now, older than my dad, and his story has become so famous that it's become like a fairy tale, like Little Red Riding Hood. But he was the big bad wolf in the story. I can't help it though, I love animals.
I first heard of him during a school project where we had to write an essay about him. We had to read articles, novels, and everything in between. It was crazy that we had to learn something so morbid for an English class. But I ended up writing over 5,000 words about him, making sure to include every detail and thought.
It felt like I was him. I know it sounds crazy, but that's usually the reaction I get when I tell people about my fascination. They tell me to get a therapist or that I'll end up just like him someday.But I don't think he was a psycho. He was just a human, like the rest of us. He had feelings and emotions, and he just went insane. It's easy to see why, though. Imagine if everyone loved you after you became famous, but your own family didn't accept you. It would drive you crazy, right?That's why I have a theory that the human mind is a complex thing. If your family hates you because of a dream you're trying to achieve, it could lead to anger, confusion, and jealousy. And if they still don't accept your dream even after you've achieved it, it could lead to something much worse. Maybe that's what happened to him, but who knows? It's just a theory. But I think human emotions are amazing. They can make you do things you never thought you were capable of.Meeting him was like a dream come true, like a swiftie meeting Taylor Swift. But eventually, you have to wake up from the dream and face reality. And that reality is a nightmare.
