“Luca!” I shouted, as I was pushed off the cliff. “[Y/N]!” I heard him shout back, looking at him, I saw a few arms holding onto him, as though they were holding him back.
~~~~~
The bell hanging above the door rang as someone walked into the cafe. “Hello, wel- Hey Alban!” I said happily, placing the cup I was wiping down. “[Y/N]! Hey! I’ll have my usual.” He said, sitting on the stool on the side of the cash register, watching as I went to work with his request. “Coming right up! How was work today?” I asked him, keeping my eyes on the beverage in front of me. “It was a normal day today as well. Nothing much has been happening, just the usual paper work for Sonny.”
I laughed a bit and said, “You always find a way to bring him up in the conversation huh.” I topped off his hot chocolate with whip cream and sprinkles and placed it in front of him on top of a white coaster. His ears soon became a tint of red. “I do not! I just work with him so its normal for me to bring him up from time to time!” He said defensively, very defensively. He took a sip of his choco and smiled. “Yea? Well you bring him up even if we aren’t talking about work and besides why don’t you just as him out already?” I smiled, leaning against the counter and watched him take more sips. “I can't just ask him out! He’s my boss and besides I- He- Ugh! Enough about me. WHat about you and your love life?” He grumbled, then changed the subject. “Its… going poorly.” I said and before a second passed. “As always!” Alban says with slam of his cup onto the coaster, which was then followed by a small apology as we do not appreciate the cups being slammed down. “It’s because you are always in this cafe! When do you ever have any actual free time?” He says with a shrug of his shoulders. “I know I know, I am trying to find a good time for the cafe. When I should open and close.” I said with a sigh as the door opened again.
“Hello! Welcome, what can I get for you today?” I asked with a smile, writing down the customers drink. “Alright, I will call you when its ready, feel free to take a seat anywhere.”
“You should close during this time.” Alban suggested. He isn’t wrong, it isn't really busy during this hour so it wouldn't hurt to close it. I just hummed in response as I finished making the person drink.”!!” I shouted their name, “Bye thank you! Come again!” I said with a wave of my hand as they did the same as they walked out the door.
“Anyways, speaking of your love life, what if I set you up with a blind date.” Alban asked with such genuinity. I was about to reject, “No, I am ok-” I turned back to face him and he gave a sad puppy face. “It won’t go bad this time, you can have it here at your cafe! I’ll work for you!” I gave a sigh. Sometimes it can be really hard to say no to Alban. I mean look at him! “Fiiinnnee.” I said with another long sigh. “But! Make sure it isn’t some-” “Isn’t some random guy I don’t know, to make sure I at least know him on a friend basis.” Alban finished my sentence exactly. “I knoowww, I won’t make the same mistake as last time. Besides I have known this guy since highschool.” He says with a sip of his hot chocolate. I just rolled my eyes and cleaned the rest of the mugs
“Selen! Please come up here and answer the question on the board.” the math professor shouted at the sleeping person beside me. I nudged her, “Selen, wake up the professor is picking on you again.” I whispered, nudging her with my elbow some more. She turned her head to look at me and opened her eyes. She furrowed her eyebrows, “Ugh he shouldn’t have made such an early class if he did’t want students sleeping in his class.” She grumbled quietly loud enough for me to hear. She got up and looked at the board and started to walk towards it.
She easily answered the equation on the board, which then made the professor angry but he held his tongue. She came and sat back down, putting her head back down. “Why are you so tired anyway, don’t tell me were you up late last night streaming again.” I said, as this has been a regular occurrence with Selen. “Well, obviously [Y/N], how else am I going to pay for this unbelievably expensive tuition?” She answered back, facing towards me again. “Well, Selen, your chat is also telling you to go to bed early when you have class in the morning.” She just grumbled something and turned her head away.
“Please don’t forget to finish your homework before the weekend and have a good rest of the day!” The professor excused us and we all rushed out.
“Are you done for today, [Y/N]?” the purple haired person asked me as we walked down the hall. I pulled out my [F/C] planner and made it seem like I was seriously looking if I was free for today. She usually asks that questions when she wants to go out and run around. “Puhleaasee.” She said, dragging out her word. I closed my planner, making that clap sound, and looked at her. “Sure, but!” I paused and opened the doors to the parking lot. We walked to the car, “You owe me [F/D].” I smiled and sat in the car. “FIne!, hurry up let’s go home and get going!” She rushed me, plopping in the car and turning the car on.
