I peel my eyes open after another restless night....as always. I get up and get ready for school as quietly as possible. I got home at like 3am last night and miss Rica was already asleep but I know she's awake now which basically I'm fucked...whatever.
Miss Rica is my step mother....she's also a total abusive bitch but no-one cares except my sisters, Ash and Lilah. we are not actually related but we may as well be. we are family. they live in a situation similar to mine. there mother is an alcoholic and does not treat them right. anyway we cant do anything about our situations so we support each other.
Once I get ready and I slowly and silently walk into the kitchen and living room area and grab my bag before walking towards the door to leave but miss Rica's voice stops me. "WHERE THE HELL WEAR YOU LAST NIGHT!" she yells. "i- i was st-studying.... with friends" I lied. I was really out street racing with ash and dia until like 2am I won most of my races and i got like 7k total last night.
"BULLSHIT" she screams at me making me flinch. "i-its the t-truth" I stutter. "yeah right! you were probably out whoring around like the stupid slut you are!" she yells storming closer to me until she was just inches away. "i swear...i was just studying" i say in a low voice knowing what was about to happen.
"NO YOU WERE NOT" she screams in my face. tears threaten to fall from my eyes but i dont let them. "s-sorry" I say barely above a whisper. "you will be!" she says before raising her hand up and hitting me in the face. I fall back bc of how hard she hit a couple of tears falling from my eyes. "your a pathetic, weak, little slut! your worthless" she chuckles darkly before kicking me hard in the stomach then she grabs my hair and pulls me up. "PATHETIC" she screams in my face before dropping me back to the floor and walking away. i take the opportunity to quickly get up grab my school bag and run out the door.
i start quickly walking to school bc I'm already late. my lip is bleeding from when she hit my face and my stomach is throbbing but I don't care its nothing new. by the time i get to school my lip is still bleeding but less and my stomach doesn't hurt much anymore but there's now a new bruise.
once i make it to my locker i put my bag in and grab my books for my class when ash walks up to me dia following close behind scrolling on her phone. "hey what's up!" ash says as she walks up to me. "hey" i say giving her a small smile. she looks at my lip and glares "let me guess...Rica?" she says in an annoyed voice. "when is it not" I sigh. "true...you ok?" she askes. "as good as i can be i guess" i say beginning to walk to my first class. "your very talkative today" i say directing my attention to dia. "lol sorry im just tired" she giggles and smiles at me. "its ok i get it we wear out late last night" I chuckle. "ya but it was fun" she says before turn her attention back to her phone. "did yalls mom notice you was gone?" i ask ash and dia both. ""nope"" they both say at the same time making me laugh. after a minute we make it to the classroom and enter, we take our normal seats in the back im in the middle and ash and dia are on ether side of me.
~4 hour time skip~
everything is going normal until the loud speaker come on.
"*CAN IVY MASSIMO PLS COME TO THE MAIN OFFICE*"
I share confused glances with ash and dia before getting up and walking to the office. once i make it there they tell me to go into the principle's office so i do and there waits a police officer talking to the principle.
"hello? why am i here?" i ask confused. "oh um.... your gonna go to the police station with officer Jai here and they will explain everything there ok?" the principle says makeing me even more confused. "ok..." i say hesitantly.
the cop leads me to the police car and puts me in the back. this is not the first time lol. after about a 30 minute drive we make it to the police station and we walk in he sits me in the waiting area and tells me to wait while he sorts some stuff out so I decide to text ash and dia.
(me) hey.
(ash) girl where the hell did you go??
(me) police station...
(dia) WTF! WHY!?
(ash) WHATTT!??
(me) i dont even fucking know....im so fucking confused rn
(ash) did they somehow catch you for racing??!
(me) shit i hope not
(dia).......
officer Jai come back and tells me to follow him he takes me to an office with one other officer a women wearing a dark red suit and 3 men in the corner. i look around confused "whats this about?" i ask nervously.
"miss ivy im sorry to inform you that your step mother was hit by a car on her walk to work and she did not make it, we are so very sorry for your loss" the officer that's sitting in the chair of the desk said. i look at her for a second with my mouth slightly open in shock before speaking "jesus....ok now what? wear do I stay?" I ask worried. "you will be staying with you siblings in the town across town" she says as if its the most normal thing in the world. "w-what....I dont have any siblings.....you must be confused..." I say in shock and disbelief.
"well we looked you up in the system and we found you bio family you have 3 brothers and 2 sisters" she says calmly. i just stand there in shock. "well fuck....this is gonna be interesting" i blurt after a moment making one of the men in the corner burst out laughing. i look at him for a second he's not very old he's about my age even. "those are your brothers" the women in the red suit says after a moment. the oldest looking one steps up "hi im your oldest brother mark im 27" he smile at me and i give him a small smile and wave "hi" i say shyly. this is so fucking confusing. next another one of my brothers steps up he looks slightly younger than mark but not to young "hey I'm ethen your second oldest brother i'm 20" he smiles and shakes my hand, i nod and give him a small smile. "last but not least! your new favorite brother! my name is leonardo but you can call me leo! I'm 16!" the brother who laughed before said. his excitement makes me giggle. "ok we should get going so we get to the house before you sisters get home they dont know your coming yet" mark says "ok...." i giggle. this will be interesting. they lead me out to a NICE fucking car. "holy shit. that's fucking nice... wha'ts the top speed on it?" i ask "uh like 225 i think. why?" i shrug my shoulders "just asking" i say. once we get in the car i decide to text ash and dia.
(ash) girl where did you go?!
(dia) are you dead?!
(me) lmao why would i be dead??
(dia) idk just making sure
(ash) ivy whats going on????
(me) ok so shit... basically Rica is dead...
(dia) ummm...what?
(ash) oh shit how?
(me) she got hit by a car
(dia) 0-0
(ash) oop- served the bitch right.
(me) lol. anyway the found out that i have bio siblings.
(ash) wait what?
(dia) danm.
(me) ya. i have 5 siblings 3 brothers and 2 sisters apparently...
(ash) well thats gonna be chaos i can barely survive with 2 of you lmao
(me) dont remind me lol
(dia) wait... where will you live? you better not be moving states.
(me) nope just across town
(ash) thank god
i smile at my phone screen before turning it off. after that i realize how tired i am so i rest my head against the window and close my eyes and fall asleep for the rest of the car ride
