Raising a Con

First birthday, steps, and words (pt.1)

It's been a couple of months and pretty much everyone has gotten use to you and the new schedule that you have provided as well.

As soon as you woke up, Megatron feeds you and again thanks to sound wave you have a high chair and have switched from formula to baby food. After breakfast and getting you changed you're either handed over to Knockout and Breakdown or 5T3V3. Whoever has you is in charge of lunchtime and also potty training which was brought up by Knockout, since you're learning how to walk and talk. You haven't spoken yet, but you have been babbling more and more. Dinner is provided by Megatron along with other night time festivities like cleaning and changing you into your pajamas. Then it's off to bed.

Some of the other vehicons have also helped 5T3V3 with watching and feeding you. But the potty training goes strictly to him which was okay cause he felt like he was your sire. He has also been the main one teaching you how to walk and talk as well.

So far it was a pretty normal day on the Nemesis. Megatron was overseeing a few projects and mines while also keeping Starscream in check. Knockout and Breakdown were healing some of the vehicons that were injured due to a few mining incidents. And 5T3V3 was on the bridge teaching you how to walk in his holoform. He was holding onto your little hands and carefully guiding you along, every so often he would let go and once you were properly standing he would take three steps back and call you.

You would simply fall forward and crawl over to him babbling. He was patient with you and would tell you that you did a good job. Soundwave did get you one of those baby walker things, but you didn't like being in it. You cried and screamed when you were placed in it and would stop once you were taken out. So they threw it out and you were happy seeing that prison being tossed away.

Soundwave walked over to where you and 5T3V3 were, "Any progress on their walking or talking?" He asked using voice clips

"Talking, no. Walking yes. Torrent isn't wobbling so much when standing. Taking steps is the problem." The vehicon stated

"Demonstrate."

So once again 5T3V3 held onto your hands and helped you stand, one you were stable he took 3 steps back and called you to him. Once again you simply fell forward and crawled.

"I've been guiding them as well and that's no problem." He said showing Soundwave what he ment, "It's like their scared to do it on their own."

Soundwave paused for a moment, "I have a solution."

Soundwave managed to get almost everyone on the bridge. Megatron, Knockout, Breakdown, 5T3V3, himself, and a few vehicons. 5T3V3 had you stand and pretty much everyone was calling you over to them. You looked so confused and a little overwhelmed. Starscream heard the commotion and saw what everyone was doing. It looked down right ridiculous in his optics.

"What are you all doing?" He asked a vehicon

"Trying to get Torrent to walk." They said, "Come on Torrent you can do it! Take a step!"

"This is ridiculous! They aren't going to walk." He laughed a bit, "They're a stupid fleshy."

Megatron resisted the urge to punch Starscream in the helm for even saying that in his presence.

After a few moments and looking at everyone you spotted Starscream standing off to the side with his arms crossed. You smiled and slowly took a step and then another. You saddled your way over to the mech and looked up at him and babbled.

He looked down at you, "What you want me to praise you? In 10 million vorn I will." He rolled his optics

Megatron picked you up, "Excellent job, Torrent."

You squealed happily.

"Starscream I have a special task for you." Megaton glared at him

"Yes my Lord."

"Hold Torrent."

Everyone looked at the warlord as of he had lost his processor! Even Starscream was surprised by the command.

"Fine." He held out his hand

"In your holoform." Megatron added

Starscream vented and reluctantly went into his holoform and held out his arms. Megatron placed Torrent in his arms. 5T3V3 helped Starscream hold you properly.

"Now what?" He asked

"Just hold them. Maybe you'll have a change of spark." Megatron told him, "Soundwave, 5T3V3, keep an eye on him."

They nod as everyone went back to work. Starscream shifted so he was sitting on the floor with you still in his arms. You babbling and waved your arms around as if you were telling him a story. 5T3V3 sat next to him and was engaging with you in the conversation acting as if he knew what you were saying.

"There is no way you can understand them, it's just jibberish and nonsense." The mech groaned in frustration

"Oh, I know. But it makes Torrent felt heard and they might start talking and saying actual words." The vehicon explained

The two watched as Knockout ran out of the medbay and whisper something to Soundwave who relayed the information to Megaton. Who only responded with tomorrow is fine. They had no idea what was said, but it looked to be urgent.

"Carry!" A small voice shouted scaring everyone who heard it

All optics were now focused on you.

"Did they just?" Starscream asked

"They did! Torrent, say it again." 5T3V3 was so proud of you

You looked at Starscream, "Carry." You rubbed your face into his chassis

"I'm not a femme!" He shouted at you

You teared up and a few tears were threatening to fall. Starscream rolled his optics, he reluctantly pets your head and holds you close.

"Fine... I'll be your carrier." He groaned

You were still a bit sad, but realieved that Starscream accepted his role as your mother figure.

Once Megatron was back on board the Nemesis he was immediately stopped by Soundwave, "Torrent spoke."

"They did? What did they say?" He asked the mech

Soundwave played back the audio of you saying your first word. Megatron couldn't help but be disappointed.

"Who did they say it to?" He asked

Soundwave simply pointed to Starscream who was still holding you as you took a nap in his arms. 5T3V3 had some work to do leaving Soundwave on watch duty.

"He's had the least interaction with them and yet they are attached to him and claims him as their carrier." He mused

He walked over to them and saw that Starscream was recharging as well leaning against his cybertronian form.

"Already took a picture." Soundwave said, his visor displaying a smiley face

"Good work. I knew Torrent would change him, after all they have changed us in 6 short months." Megaton smiled looking down at you, "Soundwave is everything going to be ready tomorrow?"

The mech's visor displayed a thumbs up before going back to his work. Tomorrow was going to be a busy day for you.
