By morning Emma wakes up with Abeona licking her. Emma giggles and cuddles Abeona. Emma sits up, packs her stuff and starts walking with Abeona in the arms sleeping.
Emma then notices a beautiful river. The river was so clear you can see fish swimming along. Emma fills her water bottle and takes a sip of the river. It was so refreshing
She then puts Abeona down on the grass and then proceeds to take off her clothes. Emma then wraps Abeona to make sure she's comfortable and then goes into the river.
It was cold but bearable. She was starting to enjoy it. All of a sudden she felt this sharp pain on her leg. She screamed and ran out of the water to check out how she was hurt. So sits down and looks at her leg to find a circle with a x in the middle.
Emma screams in pain and starts crying. Abeona then hopes over to Emma and lays on her feet. Emma starts calming down as the pain settles down. She looks at the mark again to find that it was burned into her skin. She also realised it didn't look that fresh. It looked like she got it a few days ago. She touches it and it burns her fingers. "Ahh! what the fuck!" She screams in pain.
"Yea I wouldn't touch that if I were you. Unless you want that burning to spread" Emma looks around to find a really pale guy smoking a cigarette. His clothes were ripped and was very rock grunge. His hair colour was brown and eyes green. Emma suddenly felt scared and Abeona ran and jumped in her bag. Emma grabs her back and puts it behind her.
"Don't worry love I'm not gonna hurt you." The guy starts walking towards Emma. Her fear growing stronger. The guy kneels down and pulls something out of his pocket, It was a pink dust. He grabs a pinch of it and sprinkles a little on the mark. It got really painful then Emma screamed. Abeona runs out and starts stomping the guys shoes. He looks down with a confused look and starts patting Abeona. Emma's pain starts going away completely. She feels relieved and lays on the ground. She grabs Abeona and tells her it's ok and he was just trying to help.
"Now it won't hurt when you go into water. But it will still burn if you on anyone touches it so be careful"
The guy then stands up and starts walking away
"Wait-"
