When Enid announced that she had finally made a werewolf friend upon her return from San Francisco. Wednesday barely paid attention to her rambling. Yet during all the unpacking of their things in their rooms. She never stopped ranting about this certain Maddie.

And after a week of classes resuming, Wednesday had never crossed paths with the girl, who was still the daughter of the new principal of Nevermore academy Marcus Baltimore.

She didn't really care, despite the fact that the girl was sometimes the center of discussion among her 'friends' who were basically just Eugene, Enid, Thing and sometimes Yoko and Bianca. The term friends being a very strong word for how Wednesday felt towards them, she just had more patience and put up with them more than others.

It was a rainy evening that she crossed paths with Madison Baltimore.

She was walking through the forest that surrounded the school, her umbrella in her hand.

The only soothing sound was the sound of drops of water and the crunching of leaves. Rainy days was a time that Wednesday particularly appreciated, and she wouldn't miss them for anything.

She exhaled, a warmer breath that caused a mist to escape her lips as she continued to make her way towards her dormitory.

When suddenly a hand grabbed her shoulder.

She took out her knife and quickly placed it under the throat of the person grabbing the wrist of the arm that still had her shoulder in hand.

"Wow." The brunette murmured, squinting at the knife at her throat with a shy smile. "You're really fast."

Wednesday stared at her fiercely, the brunette in front who was taller than her, maintained contact with their eyes by tilting her head to the side out of curiosity.

The raindrops were trickling through her hair, her soaked skin wzs shinning slightly, and her barely parted lips showing that she was breathless, her chest rising and falling in an irregular rhythm.

"Who are you?" Wednesday gritted through her teeth as she tightened her grip on the knife, digging the blade deeper into her skin. "And what do you want?"

"I'm Madison. Who are you?"

The black-haired girl removed the knife immediately, hearing the name of Enid's friend.

"Wednesday. Wednesday Addams." She responded by violently removing the brunette's hand from her shoulder.

She picked up her umbrella which had been thrown onto the ground in the motion.

Madison looked at her with big eyes before speaking again. "What are you doing here at such an hour?"

"I'm taking a walk." Wednesday replied curtly, turning around, a sign that she was going to continue on her way.

Madison quickly positioned herself to her right, and decided to walk with her.

"Do you do that often?" She asked in a curious voice, wiping her haphazardly soaked face with her equally wet sleeve. "Taking a walk at almost night?"

"Only on raining days." Wednesday answered her with a nod.

Madison hummed. Then when she felt that the rain was no longer falling on her, she looked up.

The girl next to her had shifted her arm slightly so that her umbrella protected her from the rain, as well.

Wednesday was still walking with her gaze turned forward while Madison turned towards her with a somewhat speechless expression. Then she let another shy smile take over her and turned back to looking in front of her.
