walking into the busy paddock with mya by her side, taeyeon, waved at fans, took photos, and signed a lot of things. it was race day and the pressure beat down on taeyeon hard. she didn't doubt her skills but all her competitors, minus logan and oscar, knew a lot more than her when it came to this circuit and a f1 car. she was starting from p5 and wanted to do well her first race. making it to her drivers room she threw on her team shirt and quickly left with mya to get food in the cafeteria.
"you work with such pretty people" mya spoke in korean to hide her words.
"i must agree, you are right" taeyeon laughed out.
the pair gained a few looks as they continued to speak in taeyeon's home language, but they were rudely interrupted when a hand was slammed onto their table and a chair was pulled out. both girls looked over at the person who sat and ignored their presence to continue on with their conversation.
"why is he everywhere, seriously" taeyeon rolled her eyes.
"i think he likes you" mya bounced her shoulders up and down looking at her friend.
"well i don't like him and i think you're delusional" she deadpanned at mya.
"alright lets all just ignore the incredibly good looking guy who just sat down" charles dramatically said while crossing his arms over his chest"
taeyeon gave him a sarcastic smile before speaking, "that's exactly what we were doing"
"just say you have no taste then" charles huffed out.
"no i have taste, it's just not you" she looked over to her waving manager, " now if you excuse us i have a race to prepare for good luck" she winked then got up and began walking away ahmya following her, charles looked on as they walked away.
sat on the asphalt next to her mercedes taeyeon had her headphone situated on her head blasting her pre race playlist, she had the tunes of humble by kendrick lamar playing currently. her eyes closed as her head hung low to get into the mindset she needed to focus on her driving. a tap on her head signaled that it was time to get in the car. her headphones came off and she pulled her balaclava on over her head and brought her helmet down to sit comfortably in her head. she climbed in the car and situated herself so she felt comfortable, just sitting in the car brought her the feeling of ease.
