"So...I died because you couldn't get a limited edition photo of me from Earth 3, made a fuss, knocked your ink over and spilt on your report of my life...which caused me to die immediately," Cale repeats, causing the God of Death to nod. Cale's eyes darken while his face cringes into disappointment before he facepalms. "I can't fucking believe that you..."

"I know, and it's my fault. That report was to kill White Star, but I didn't mean to kill you, too," the black-haired man says. Cale sighs before massaging his temples. Perhaps he should ask Alberu for advice to handle someone as troubling and annoying as the God of Death. "Um...Cale?" He flinches when the red-haired commander glares at him, wondering what he wants now. "My other...uh...child demanded me to revive you...but you see, your body is too weak to handle your wounds."

"So?"

"I came up with a solution."

"..."

"It's not suspicious, I swear!"

"..."

"It's safe!"

"..."

"Don't look at me like that! You're making me feel sad," the God of Death whines, causing Cale to raise an eyebrow. Comedic tears crawl down God's cheeks while Cale sighs exhaustingly before offering a handkerchief. "Thanks...wait. Is this yours?"

"...no?"

"You gave me—" he pauses. The God of Death whines when Cale yanks his hair, causing him to tear up again. After apologising several times, Cale releases the God and stares into his soul. Literally. "Geez. Can't you respect your elders?"

"Quit stalling time."

"...fine. So, since I can't revive you, you will be reborn into another world. Also, since I owe you a life, I will give you information regarding that world before you enter it. Don't worry, it's not as dangerous as you think. Plus, you'll be familiar with the setting since it's related to your original country," the man says, causing Cale to sigh. After briefing Cale about his unfortunate fate, he places a book on the grass. "Read this. Once you're done, you'll automatically fall into that world."

"...it's suspiciously easy."

"Well..."

"What?"

"Nothing."

"My death isn't nothing. You should pay me for the years you made me miss."

"Ugh."

"Also, aren't you afraid of those vicious people?" Cale asks. The God of Death knew who Cale was talking about and shivered at the thought of being hunted by them. ""

After getting dismissed by the ex-commander, the God of Death watches Cale speedrun through the thick novel, and once he finishes, he closes the book. The transmigrator narrows his eyes before he glances at the older male, wondering where he will be spawning. Before he can ask the God of Death about the world, he notices his body glowing white. His eyes widen before he looks at the black-haired man, watching as the man smiles at him.

"Goodbye."

"..."

"...fu...wait...WAIT! I FORGOT TO TELL—"

There were two supporting roles in the novel. They were born as identical twins with one difference. One had lavender irises, while the other possessed peach eyes. While the daughter possessed their father's eyes, the son possessed their mother's. Had they chosen to leave their sect, they would have lived lives happier than they did under their father's name. Unfortunately, because of their father's malicious schemes, they were forced to become concubines at a young age.

During their lonesome lives as concubines, the twins begged their spouse, the emperor, to show them even the tiniest bit of love...but in the end, neither could gain the emperor's favour and were eventually killed by the other concubines and lords. Their miserable and tragic fates ended before they could turn ten years old. It's a pitiful destiny. Really.

"Rok Soo..."

A soft groan escapes his lips before he lifts his head from the cushion. He looks at the person calling his name before meeting eyes with a black-haired girl. His eyes move from her violet irises and ebony hair to the red dress she's wearing, then to his clothes, which look similar to his twin sister's. She tilts her head before noticing someone approaching their carriage.

"We have to go."

"...mmh," he replies before shielding his eyes. The man rudely stares them down before escorting the children to the palace stairs. Cale—now known as Rok Soo—scans the festive area while his twin focuses on following the man. Creme lanterns hang from one building to another as the maids set the wooden tables. Since they're children, it takes them longer to arrive at the place where they will wait for their spouse. "...quiet," he mutters before turning away. After the ten-minute walk, they stop before the staircase leading to the throneroom.

"Behave yourselves and kneel here," the guide says, causing the children to nod. They do as told, missing the dark gaze of the attendant before he disappears into the busy crowd. As more nobles sit in their assigned spots, they whisper about the kneeling twins before the staircase. Rok Soo's eyebrows knit while the violet-eyed girl glances at him.

"This is taking forever."

"My knees hurt."

"That statement could get you killed."

"...what are legs good for? I'd rather flop like a fish than die."

"Same."

"...but when will she come?"

"I don't know, but he's taking his sweet time."

"He? The emperor is a woman."

"...oh."

After ten minutes, the festive music blasts behind them, causing the children to flinch. They glance at one another through their crimson veils before returning to the darkness between their arms. Since the music has begun, this would mean the emperor is here, right? Despite wishing to run from the palace, they know they'll become wanted criminals if they dare tarnish the egotistical family that sent them there.

I'll kill them.

Wait, you're here?

Of course, I'm here! Why wouldn't I be with you, cutie?

...

I'm here, too!

...and me...

Me too!

Don't forget about me!

I thought I lost you after I died.

No. When you died, that dumbass dragged us with you. He said it was the least he could do since he "accidentally" killed you.

Unfortunately, I don't believe you can use us to your full potential.

Yeah. I feel weak.

Is it because Cale's a child?

Probably.

...oh.

"...oo...ok...Rok...o...Rok Soo."

"Huh?" the boy mumbles before glancing at his sister. Despite the veil covering her face, he can see the frown on her lips. "Yes?"
