Writer's note. This is my first time at writing a story like someone else was telling it. So please bare with me on this story.

The day was July 14th the anniversary of the day that I was shot down by Pat Garrett. And had just came back to life in the future. At this time I didn't have a change of clothes. So I decided to walk into this coffee shop to get something to drink. I sat down at the table. Just then two country music singers walked and sat down at my table.

Their names were Hank Williams and Chris LeDoux. We started talking about their music.

Chris LeDoux's POV.
Hank and I were in the coffee shop swapping stories about the old west and about our songs with our young cowboy friend Billy Bonney. When some motorcycle riders started. Laughing in the back poking fun at Billy's hat. One old boy said hay Mexico where did you park your horse? Billy just pulled his hat down low but they couldn't be ignored. One big husky fellow said I think that I will just come over there and rip that hat right off of your head.

That is when Billy turned around and this is what he said. You'll ride a black tornado across the western sky. Milk a blue northern and wrestle a bulldog with it's ears down flat long before you touch this cowboy's hat.

This hat was given to me by my grandfather but he is passed on now. A real special lady gave me this hat pin I don't know if I will ever see her again. My young friend Tom O'Folliard skinned the rattle snake that makes up this hat band but he was killed by Pat Garrett. The eagle feather was given to me by my friend Chavez and I will never see him again. Now if your leather jacket means to you what this hat means to me then we understand each other and you'll just let it be. But if try to touch this hat you'll have to go through us all.

Just then I caught a little sadness in that gang leader's eyes and had turned back towards the others and they all just kinda shuffled on outside. That's when Billy turned back towards us and I noticed that his old hat brim was turned up in a big New Mexico grin.

Yep I will never forget that day for as long as I live.
