Sunoo's POV

I look at the door, i could have tried to break in right? That exit is just right in front of me and i must not miss the chance.

Heeseung would be back around 6 pm? What time is it right now? Ah, it's 4:46.

But how could i escape when my ankles are barely moving? I tried to stood up but it hurts so much, i groaned and slowly caress my legs to where the purple bruises are located.

I tried moving my feet, it does move but it hurts.

But i have to do this, for my own sake.

Sunoo tried little steps, then walking, and then running to the door with a knife at his hands. He tried to break the doorknob and when it broke, Sunoo's smile got even more wider.

I can go back!

Third Person's POV

Sunoo opened the door only by a little, he could smell the rain and the sunset greeted him as the wind passes by his face.

The smell of rain.

The smell of outside.

The smell of freedom!

Sunoo opened the door even wider but his breath hitched and his heart started to beat in a fast pace, his palms started to sweat and his pupils started shaking.

Killing me softly with his song.

Heeseung was at the door step, his back shown at Sunoo and the blond could hear the same song coming out of Heeseung's earphones.

Sunoo nervously gulped, "H-hyung.."

"As expected!" Heeseung laughed and stood up, his earphones fell down to the wet floor and his dark hues shooting glares at Sunoo.

"Sunoo don't be stupi-"

Sunoo ran past Heeseung. His legs was hurting but he ran faster away from him. The adrenaline kicked in and his legs began shaking.

Sunoo felt the rocks and pebbles from the small dirt road beneath his feet and his heart sank when he realized his situation. Where is he supposed to run to? Sunoo didn't know where he were and where anybody else might be.

Fuck.

Sunoo could hear Heeseung behind him- and the older was fast. Sunoo knew about his athletic past. He was definitely faster than him, Heeseung has better stamina than Sunoo.. The only thing Sunoo had was his small head start but he knew it wouldn't be long until he caught up.

And Sunoo were right-- Heeseung managed to catch him and tackled Sunoo to the floor within minutes. The sharp pebbles scratched along his arms and cheek.

"I told you not to be fucking stupid." Heeseung spat, dragging Sunoo along the path by his hair

"Get off!" Sunoo kicked his legs and ripped his hair back, not even caring about the fact that it meant he ripped some of his hair out in the process.

Scrambling back, Sunoo tried to get his feet but were kicked to the ground. That's when Sunoo felt the cold knife pressing at his throat.

"Don't. Be. Stupid." Heeseung whispered at his ear.

The tears fell silently as he were walked down to the house, his legs shaky and cold in the forest.

As the golden sun flowed down onto the fresh green fields, Sunoo were dragged up the stairs and into the house, tied up.

----

"What's the missing case again?" The person with a police uniform asked his co-worker.

"A high school student went missing when the day the serial killer got caught." His co-worker informed.

"And nobody is taking care of his case?" The person frowned.

His co-worker laughed. "Riki, we are dealing with a serial killer that is known for hiding their identity! We can't possibly handle two cases."

Riki rolled his eyes, "It's a high school student, sir."

"And so are you."

Riki felt that it was unfair, there should be justice for the boy that went missing. Of course catching a murderer is important but they shouldn't be taking advantages of the boy.

"Is.. Is someone taking his case?" Riki asked curiously.

His co-worker eyed him suspiciously before putting down the newspaper, "His friend probably started investigating but I'm sure he won't be able to take care of it without a police's help."

"Then... Can i get his case?"

"Kim Sunoo's case?"

Riki nodded, his co-worker just sighed. "You're still a rookie. Are you sure you can handle it?"

"I'm sure of it. I'll do my very best to find him."
