chapter 2

who's the new girl?

Moon Nari POV-

A couple hours had passed since I'd been introduced and sat through what felt like 100 classes of work before we we're let out for lunch. 

"Hey Nari do you know where the cafeteria is?" Jake asked as he packed his textbooks away and turned to me.

"uh yeah I should be fine thanks, go enjoy lunch" I smiled back as he nodded in response and walk off with his friend Sunghoon

I watched as the pair wondered off. I had no idea where this cafeteria was and now was stuck in the class alone. I had a few snacks on me but wanted to leave the four walls of hell so i went out and walked along the halls with students surrounding the building

"Oh Nari-ah?" A voice called from behind me. I turned around to see who it was

"Yang Jungwon??" I said in suprise from the sudden exposure.

"What are you doing in Seoul? Aren't you meant to be in Incheon?" The doe eyed male said to me

Yang Jungwon was and is my only other cousin from my dads side. His sister is Jungwon's Mother. My relationship with Jungwon is like a little brother that was actually like me. My real brothers all are full vampire like, The stereotypical ones we read about. Unlike Jungwon who has related to me, being the only male in his side he was being forced into this kind of world.

"I moved here because of my dad, he wanted to see your parents for business and I was dragged here" I say walking up to him

"Oh cool now I can see you more often, hey you hungry?" He questioned

"I guess... kinda got a bit lost here" I say embarassed as the 2 of us walk

"That fine I was going to grab something to come i'll show you" Jungwon states as we walk to the cafeteria. 

Walking in felt like a food court with so many options to pick from. The two of us wondered around for I had no idea why till we hear a voice

"Jungwon over here" a male voice called out. The two of us turn to see a groups of 6 males around a table

"Oh hey guys,-" Jungwon was quickly cut off by another person at teh table

"How do you know the new girl" Sunghoons voice said, all eyes were now on me. Silence took over the table before Jungwon clarified.

"She's my cousin... why how do you know her" Jungwon raised an eyebrow glaring at his friends

I rest a hand on Jungwons shoulder. 
"I'm in the same class of them. Chill won" I chuckle at his protective side. Even though im 2 years older he's always protected me like I was younger.

Slowly the same scent comes back to me, like the one from before in the class room. The sweet and pungent smell. I nudge Jungwons shoulder. '

Do you smell anything? like sweet'  I asked him through our mindreading ability. He shoke his head as a no before looking at me funny. Something was off around his friend group... almost to off like it was dangerous.
