*BRING* The whole class went from silent to an uproar in a matter of seconds, there was a stampede as everyone rushed out the door, we ran out to the playground to start a game of hide and seek, I was seeking.
I count to thirty and run off into the luscious forest, trying to find as many people as possible, I hear a rustle in the bushes and run to check it out, as I peer around the bush I see a strange hooded figure, he turns to me, he is wearing a strange mask, "Found you?" I say cautiously, could he be a classmate playing a trick on me? I decide not when he turns around holding a knife, it looks as if it has dried blood, "You shouldn't have seen me," I shiver as I hear his blood-curdling whisper.
I turn and run away, trying to forget what I just saw, I go to look for the rest of my classmates and manage to find all but one before the bell rings, as we head back to class I realise that my friend Poppy, hasn't returned from the forest, at the time I think nothing of it, thinking she just got lost, but as the day drags on I begin to get worried.
*BRING* The end of school bell rings and Poppy still hasn't shown up. I go to the Principals office, tripping up multiple times. I knock on the door, "Enter" I slowly enter the room, its walls draped in blood red banners with the school emblem on it, the dark oak furniture emitting a creepy vibe.
I approach the principal's desk, "Sir, at break my friends and I went to the forest to play hide and seek, and when the bell rang I noticed someone was missing." Principal Harold looked at me with an unrecognisable expression. "Continue?" I take a deep breath, "While playing, I found someone in a bush, at first I thought it was a classmate, but he was too tall, and was holding a bloodstained knife, my gut tells me that that person has something to do with Poppy's disappearance." Principal Harold's eyes widen, "We will search the school grounds immediately. Thank you Laila."
