Cuddles

You and Jade have been dating for a while now, long enough to know that she usually disliked all sorts of affection. But on some days she'd allow it to an extend since she loved you after all. Her pessimism really juxtaposed with your optimism.

One day you were over at Jade's place, relaxing on the living room couch together watching a film as the two of you munched on popcorn. During the film, Jade was feeling slightly off today. She could notice about herself that she had a strange urge to be closer to you right now. Your eyes were glued to the TV as you nibbled on some popcorns. Jade was sitting closely beside you, but not close enough to be touching. By now she has glanced over at you a bunch of times, itching to be in your presence that looked so weirdly comforting to her right now.

She was trying to find a way to be closer to you without being so noticeable. A few minutes passed and she had put her head on your shoulder out of the blue, and a hand on your thigh.

"What are you doing?"

You mutter, smiling crookedly as you look at her. This was a little unusual for Jade but you weren't complaining.

"What do you think."

Jade scoffed back in her familiar blunt tone. She turned her head a little so she was nuzzled into the crook of your neck. Her grip on your thigh tightened.
You narrowed your eyes with a playful smirk before blurting

"Okay. Get up."

"Huh-?"

Jade lifted her head a little to look at you with confusion and slight irritation. You nodded, gently pushing her off your side before getting up yourself.
After a few seconds Jade reluctantly obliged and stood up.

"Lay down on your side."

"Why should I-"

"Please Jade."

Jade glared at you before sighing as she slowly lied down on the couch on her side. You grinned broadly, joining her moments after as you lied down right in front of her. You had to squeeze in a little so you wouldn't slip off the edge of the couch. Your back pressed up against Jade's front so it looked like she was spooning you.

"The hell are you-"

Jade looked almost startled as she stared at you, but could only see the back of your head. You giggled before saying

"Cmon. Now put your arms around me."

"Seriously-?"

"Yes!"

You were beaming the whole time, feeling like you accomplished something by making Jade cuddle with you.
Jade sighed deeply and slowly put her arms around your waist, barley pulling you in more towards her front, which already had no gaps between your back from how close you two were. You smiled softly, getting comfortable in this position as your eyes fall back to the TV.

"Comfy?"

You asked Jade in a happy tone. Jade groaned quietly, but she wasn't moving from the position at all. She'd be lying if she said no - because she was absolutely comfy. She'd just never admit it out loud. She had a small smile creep up on her face, but you couldn't see it anyway. She felt almost.. relaxed. Something she didn't feel often. Maybe this was just what she needed.
