This week had been terrible, it had started off with Lilith trying to convert her from being a Wild Witch, to joining her in the emperor's coven. Again. Needless to say, that argument wasn't pretty. Then she hadn't sold enough human junk because of a painbow in town, and she hadn't eaten in two days, and better yet Gwen had tried to "Cure" her once more and it was cold outside, so now all her bones were extra achy. Sigh, but at least Hooty had the sense of mind not to bother her too much. So, after another grueling day of not eating and aching all over, the last thing she needed was for the Owl Beast to rear its ugly head. Racing towards the kitchen cabinet, She frantically opened every door and searched every high and low place, not finding her elixir there she checked the living room, behind the vase, under the couch, ran to her bathroom, and checked the medicine cabinet, then her bedroom, checking the nest, closet, and vanity, she was struck with the chilling fact that she also had not had enough money to buy her elixir this week.

"Ok girl, it's ok," She whispered to herself, taking a deep breath, Eda pushed the eye on her portal key and stepped through, just as the last vestiges of her control ebbed away. When the Owl Beast woke in a dark forest, it knew instantly that something was wrong, trying to stand on its four legs, it found that it took a lot of energy to do so. No! Need magic! Need Freedom! It screeched as its legs wobbled and gave out from underneath it. Need Food! Need! Want! No! Wrong World! It whined. So dizzy, disoriented, and weekend from being in a world without magic, the Owl Beast let out one last pitiful cry before its vision went dark.

Camila was woken with a start. She could have sworn she heard som- Screeeeeeeee! Camila tensed before recognizing the sound as some form of an owl in distress, based on the pitch and volume, probably a screech, or barn owl. She deduced and ran downstairs to put on her running shoes and grab her flashlight at the door where she laid her keys. Don't forget the blanket! She reminded herself then locked the door behind her and turned on her flashlight. It sounded like it came from the back of the house. And so, in her pajamas, she headed towards the forest where she last heard the avian in need.

Eda was in so much pain. Her world was spinning even though she just became conscious, and her ears were buzzing.

"-ey! Hey! Wake up! Are you ok?! Do you require medical assistance?" Ugh did Hooty leave the crystal ball on? Eda let out a grunt, can't Hooty let me sleep for 5 more minutes, doesn't he know that when she wakes up after the Owl Beast, she needs to rest a little more?!

"Hello! Are you ok? I can call the ambulance if you need me to!" Wait! Owl Beast! No elixir! Human Realm!...

"Wake up please!" OH NO! Eda's eyes shot open with a gasp, making the woman crouching next to her yelp out and fall back on her butt. Eda normally would have chuckled at this, but she was being reminded firsthand why she didn't like turning into the Owl Beast, much less in the human realm with the door closed. Sure, the Owl beast gets too weak here, but that makes her life just as miserable. Her whole body hurt, everything was spinning, and she wanted to throw up, but she didn't have anything in her stomach, so she was just even more miserable.

"Whoa whoa hey! Let me help you!" the woman exclaimed when Eda tried to sit up by herself. The woman had at some point draped a warm blanket around her while she was passed out. What day was it? Had she just been out a few hours, or had it been a whole day? Eda wondered. Then mentally shrugged to herself, doesn't matter, Hooty knows how to take care of the house.
