It has been 1 year since me and max have started dating, without sounding cliché it has been the best year of my life. But knowing my luck something has to get worse, but maybe this time it could be different...

I'm still living with Tom, max practically lives here as well, they're on tour at the moment so it gets a bit lonely from time to time, but I Skype the lads everyday.

Its my birthday!

i got out of bed, I looked at the picture of me and max on my bedside table then smiled widely, I got up and put my fluffy slipper boots on, max always called me bunny woman whenever I wore them, but they kept my feet warm, I looked down at the Slogan T-shirt I had slept in, it was one of Max's favourites but he left it here for me, he's such a cutie.

I rubbed my eyes and made my way downstairs, I opened the living room door, something had changed, it sounds weird but I could feel it, I creeped into the kitchen and grabbed the first thing I saw, a rolling pin, I don't know what it would do if there was some scary monster waiting behind the door but ah well.

As I crept back into the living room on my tiptoes, I peeked behind the sofa, there was a figure there, I screamed and hit it with the rolling pin, the flicked the light on, (it was considerably dark, although it was half 8 in the morning!)

The figure yelled and jumped up. turns out the figure was Tom, then shortly after Max jumped up from behind the sofa, then jay siva Nathan, my best friends Leigh and charley and carrie, and my older brother Harry.

Me- 1) how did you get in here and how did you all manage to hide behind the sofa?

2) why are you here?

Max- it's my girlfriends birthday and I wouldn't miss it no matter how far away I am.

Tom- you're my best friend, how could I forget you turning 23? You old granny.

Carrie- look, Scarlett, did you seriously think all of us would miss your birthday? And you do know Tom has a key right?...and all of our phone numbers.

Me- OI Parker watch it, remember you're two years older than me? And sorry I was just a little freaked out that's all, I mean, jay max Tom Nathan and siva you guys were all in America, Harry you were in New Zealand with mum and dad, girlies you live in Bolton, bloody hell I'm not worth all this trouble, I'm 23. Just another year older and a few more presents.

Max- you are worth it babe.

Siva, jay, Nathan&tom-totally!

Harry- I'd do anything for the best sister ever.

Leigh&charley- urm guys, save the sweetness for later.

Leigh- I think my arms are gonna fall off.

Charley- bloody hell these presents are heavy, lets get opening!

We all nodded in agreement, I sat on the arm chair and everyone circled like over excited school children.

Jay- me first!

I opened jays present, a 'stitch' cuddly toy because stitch is my favourite disney character, a skittle bracelet, like fake plastic ones, not real skittles, and Vera wang love struck perfume.

Then I opened siva and nareesha's present, nareesha was ill so I couldn't thank her in person, they brought me a ticket to V festival, they brought it as a surprise and everyone else got their own ticket, and Nareesha got me a pair of beautiful heels from her company.

Leigh got me a ticket to one direction and a one direction tshirt, I wasn't obsessed with one direction, but me and the girls have always wanted to see them live so leigh got me a ticket.

Charley got me 'the perfect festival outfit' from Topshop.

Nathan got me a new pair of converse and a framed photo of all of us to go on my memory wall.

Harry got me a Disney couture necklace with 'believe' on it.

Carrie got me a Polaroid camera and a dream catcher.

Tom got me a pair of raybans.

And my mom and dad brought me a white range rover, OH MY GOD.

I feel like the luckiest girl in the world right now.

Max was last to give me his present.

Max-it's not really a present. But I love you and I can only say this one way, marry me?

He got down on one knee and pulled out the most beautiful ring I had ever seen, I saw flashes and I heard 'aw's' coming from everyone, I nodded, tears, the happy ones, ran down my cheeks as I beamed at max and kissed him softly on the lips, he picked me up and twirled me around.

This has been the best birthday ever.

We all settled down laying on the sofas I was snuggled into max with Tom next to me.

I picked up my phone and clicked on twitter.

A/N: rushed and a filler chapter, the next few chapters with probably be the party, the festival, the concert, and after a load of drama THE WEDDING.
