"You ok baby?" Hongjoong was opening the car door for Seonghwa to get in. Seonghwa was buckling his seat. "I'm fine." Seonghwa didn't even maintain eye contact with Hongjoong.
Hongjoong closed the door and went to the other side. He sat down and buckled his own seat. He closed the door and started the car. He let some music play, but he turned it down for a second. "You sure you're ok?" "Yes Hongjoong." He clearly wasn't fine.
He barely called Hongjoong by his first name unless he was mad, annoyed or scared.

The whole car ride was silent, the only noise coming from the radio.
Hongjoong got out of the car to open the door for Seonghwa. It was a ritual they had whenever they driven, but today was different because Seonghwa opened the door for himself. Oh yeah, he was pissed.
Hongjoong locked the car and followed right behind Seonghwa who was ahead of him. Seonghwa opened the door and they went to the elevator. The air was awkward between them.
When they got off they walked to their apartment. This time Hongjoong opened the door. Seonghwa walked past him and took off his shoes. Hongjoong closed the door and locked it then did the same thing Seonghwa did.
"I'm gonna go take a shower." Seonghwa went to their bedroom. Hongjoong just stood there wondering what was wrong.

Both of them were sitting on the couch, eating ice cream while watching tv. They just finished their japchae and decided to put on a marvel movie that they had already seen.
They were both still silent and Hongjoong was trying to figure out how to squash the tension and figure out what was going on with Seonghwa. Why was he so quiet and avoidant? He literally sat on the opposite end of the couch Hongjoong was sitting on.
Usually they'd be cuddled up in one corner of the couch. That's when Hongjoong came up with something. He didn't know if it would work but it didn't hurt to try, did it? He reached for the remote and turned off the tv.
"Why would you do that?" "Come on Hwa. Tell me what's wrong please?" "That's what you turned the tv off for? Give me th-" Seonghwa tried taking the remote but Hongjoong pulled his hand away before Seonghwa could even touch it.
"What's wrong?" "Hongjoong give me the remote." "Not until you tell me what's wrong." Seonghwa sighed and rolled his eyes. He got up to walk away but Hongjoong grabbed his wrist in time. "Uh uh uh. Did you forget what we agreed on?" Seonghwa looked back at Hongjoong, knowing he couldn't just leave, he stood there, not saying a word. They agreed to always talk things out if something was wrong.
"Come here." Hongjoong pulled Seonghwa onto his lap, resting his hands on the man's thighs as he straddled him. He rubbed Seonghwa's thighs up and down. "What's wrong baby?" There was that obnoxiously calm but deep voice that had Seonghwa blushing, his stomach filled with butterflies.
"Nothing." Seonghwa couldn't look him in the eyes. "It doesn't look like nothing. Come on tell me." "It's stupid Hongjoong, really. Everything's fine I swe-" Hongjoong made Seonghwa look at him by tipping his head up.
"Hey, don't be like that. Just tell me so that I can fix whatever it is ok?" Seonghwa took a deep breath. "It's just... You were having so much fun with your friends and you were so touchy with them. I thought you forgot about me being there." Seonghwa looked back down, fiddling with the drawstring of Hongjoong's shorts.
"That's what this is all about?" "I know it's stupid." "No it's not. You could've just told me baby. You know I'd never forget about you. Why didn't you just come up to me, I could've included you in our conversation." "I didn't wanna interrupt you guys."
