Somewhere a life could have been.
Someday the sun would destroy the horrors that could have been avoided.
Someplace far from here they used to be.
Sometimes, more often than not I realise my mistake.
I know now my humanity was and is out of my hands.
It is in someone else's.
Then.
Soon.
Always.
If I had known it would've kept a hold on me, even in death, I wouldn't let go. I do not dare let go now. If I do I will lose the little control I have. I might be able to choose outside of my humanity and trick it into letting me have my discarded future conned from me by my own puppeteered hand. But for now I have to keep holding on.
