Narrator POV~As Cozette leaves the school building Reign leads them to where a group of girls are currently goofing around and joking amongst themselves. As they advanced toward the group Cozette felt butterflies growing in her stomach from nerves.
Fuck, she thought, of course, I get nervous as I approach a group of obviously popular people. Stupid social anxiety.
"Hey guys", Reign announced to the group when they arrived. There were a couple of 'heys' and 'what's up' except for one girl practically giving Reign a death stare.
"Who is the girl behind you?", one of them asked. She was the tallest of the girls and had blond curly hair that was done up in a ponytail.
Turning around, Reign fully made Cozette's appearance known, "This is...... Oh, shit I don't actually know what your name is.", she said, chuckling. As Cozette was about to no doubt stutter her name out in front of the ice hockey team one of the girls beat her to it.
"It's Cozette", Everyone turned their heads toward her, including Cozette with a confused look on her face.
When Cozette focused her attention on the ice hockey player who introduced her, she was met with the same girl from earlier who was there when she bumped into Reign.
Finally getting a good look at her she was beautiful. Not that artificial beauty like when you see a runway model with too much lip filler, but that natural beauty with forest green eyes, bits of brown here and there, and a slight hump on her nose. For all Cozette knows she might have been handpicked from the God's themselves just to show off how good their human making skills are. Whatever the fuck that means.
Noticing that she was staring for a bit too long, Cozette shook her head and averted her eyes from the green-eyed ice hockey player, preferring to stare at her off-colored sneakers instead.
"Well at least that's what is written in this sketchbook.", Cy said, her cheeks turning red with all of the looks being given to her. Digging through what Cozette assumed was her book bag she held up the book in question in all of its battered glory.
"Oh, thank goodness, my sketchbook is still in one piece.", Cozette thought.
"Y-Yeah, that's my name ..., and sketchbook", Cozette stuttered out adding the end at the last minute.
The group of girls was quiet for a few moments before Reign nudged the ice hockey player holding Cozette's sketchbook and nodded her head toward Cozette. The player in question gave her a confused look before getting what she was trying to say and letting out a quiet 'oh'.
Coming towards Cozette she handed her sketchbook to her. While she did so her fingers brushed against Cozette's, sending a tingle through both of their hands and traveling all the way toward their arms. Making Cozette shiver at the contact and quickly retract her hand from the brunette's.
Cy leaned close enough for Cozette to smell the cologne she put on after her shower in the locker room early this morning. The smell was not overpowering to Cozette's nose and she quickly deemed that it was the best smelling cologne to ever exist. She whispered to Cozette so that she was the only one to hear.
"Here you go.", then backed away as quickly as she said it. Not leaving any room for Cozette to respond back. Still, Cozette let out a squeaked 'thank you', quiet enough that you had to strain your ears to hear.
The ice hockey player went back to talking to her friend as if that exchange never even happened. Cozette on the other hand was still dazed on the fact that her cologne smelt like pine trees and honeycomb. Nothing like the strong odors that some guys in this school put on that overwhelm the nose.
