The string of fate

A throbbing pain emerged in Sergio's head as his surroundings began to blur, everything was a mess Sergio couldn't think straight..

He shot up,  he took a minute to recognise his surroundings, he was on his bed and next to him was Luka..? What had truly happened? Maybe it was just a bad dream.. was the dream just a simple nightmare or fate showing itself to Sergio? That question could only be answered with time. But now Sergio felt the need to do something more.. something to show his true feelings to Luka, wether he'd be rejected or not was another story to be told.

He went back to sleep trying to put his mind at ease by having a good nights rest, he kept tossing and turning unable to sleep.. his actions caught the attention of Luka who was woken up by Sergio's often tossing  and turning. "Sergio..?" Luka asked his voice sounding raspy and tried, "Mh.. I chat sleep.." Sergio answered. "Do you want a hug?" Luka offered with a smile, "yeah-yeah.. thanks lukita.." Sergio mumbled as he hugged Luka tightly. Luka noticed Sergio's grip on him was tight, he didn't mind and just cuddled up to him.

The next morning rolled around, Luka as usual woke up first.. but when he tried to get up he felt Sergio's hand holding his waist tightly. A small blush crept up his face.. he smiled and tried to softly move Sergio's hand away. "Sergio.. come on.. I have to get up," Luka spoke calmly. "..rest.. tired.." Sergio mumbled in reply "fine.. five more minutes," Luka replied resting his head on the pillow again.

The soft drops of rain from outside were calming to both Luka and Sergio who had finally gotten out of bed to start their morning routines. But Sergio had one thing on his mind.. he wanted to ask Luka out, and.. it was Valentine's Day a perfect time to ask.. but how would he.. Luka was going out for the day, he was headed to a charity event to deliver a speech. During this time Sergio could make the necessary preparations to well.. ask Luka out.

Once Luka left for the event, Sergio went to the store to buy just one thing, flowers. In the end he got two kinds made into one bouquet because he couldn't decide which one was prettier.. to give to the prettiest Croatian male he'd ever met.

A few hours had passed since the preparations were made, Sergio even wrote a small but beautiful card for Luka. After waiting for a long time he heard nothing.. not the door opening nor anything else.. he started to get really tired..  was Luka just not coming home for the night..? Then Sergio's preparations would go to waste..

At 8 p.m. Sergio finally heard the door creaking open, Luka walked in he looked exhausted. Sergio ran up to him leaving the flowers and the card behind "Luka! Your finally home.." Sergio smiled brightly as he exclaimed. "Mhm.. how was your day?" Luka asked, "oh.. it was alright.. but I have to ask you something now.. just um.. follow me alright?" Sergio lead him upstairs holding the note and flowers behind his back..

They got up to the room where all the preparations were made.. luka looked stunned even blushing a little as he realised what was about to happen.. "..this surprise.."
