like any normal sunday for you, you got up to get ready to visit the library.

you loved reading, and your dream job was to become a writer. it's been your dream since you were a kid, and you've been working to achieve it.

you were looking for a specific book today. you'd read about it online and were going to go get it.

you arrived at the library, greeting the librarian who was one of your best friends, and walked to the row of books where the book you wanted should be.

you looked at every book in the aisle until you found it.

you reached for the book, wishing you had something to stable yourself against so you wouldnt fall, but right when you were about to grab the book, someone else did.

"what the fuc-" you looked behind you to see the prettiest man you've ever seen in your life.

"sorry. you wanted this one?" he asked.

well yeah, if you didn't want it you wouldnt have reached up to get it. but you didn't tell him that.

"um.. yeah. i did."

"oh. yeah, this one looks interesting. she's one of my favorite authors. i can read it when youre done with it," he said, giving you the book.

"no, you don't have to do that. you can take it-"

"really, it's fine. enjoy it!" he smiled, walking off.

gosh, you could've sworn he had the most beautiful smile. you felt your cheeks heat up.

you stayed there for a minute. reminiscing on how cute the guy was.

shit. you should've asked for his name.

you went downstairs to your friend - the librarian - lia.

"ooo someone's blushing. what happened?"

"lia! i swear i just saw the cutest guy ever!" you almost screamed.

"shh, who? that guy over there?" she said, pointing to the exact person you were blushing over.

"yeah! wait how did you know-"

"he's the only other person here right now. you're right, he's cute. you should ask for his number."

she's right.

you looked back to go ask him, but he was gone. did he really leave already?

"dammit."
