Chapter one( The beginning

I was walking to the weapon shop to get an ax. As everyone was fighting dragons and I was living alone and dragons were lighting up fires. Astrid and the rest of the water kids were putting out the fires.

      Hiccup was helping Gobber make weapons. I was going back to my hut when a monster nightmare blocked my way to my hut. I showed the dragon no fear and it flew away. Stoick, the vastness was like my dad. My parents died in a fire when I was younger but I know how to live on my own.

     I put the ax on the wall and grabbed some mead. After eating ,  I went to bed and was thinking about my future and my life. In the morning, someone knocked on my door and I got up and got my clothes on. I went to the door to see it was Stoic. "Hey dad, what do you want?" "I want you and Hiccup to go to dragon killing school." I was shocked when he told me that. Deep down I knew that I didn't want to kill dragons.

I nodded and grabbed my father's shield and my mother bow and arrow. I was walking to the arena as I saw Astrid and the other teenagers .There was snotlout, fishleg, ruffnut and tuffnut. Grobber was our teacher. I was looking at Snotlout. Thor,  he was just like a god.

Gobber was teaching us about each dragon. The gronckle was the first dragon.Gobber told us to get a shield. I ran to get a shield and all of a sudden snotlout ran into me. We both got hit and I grumbled about how Snotlout was doing it on purpose.

After training, we went to the mess hall and got something to eat and drink. Astrid was looking at me and waving me down. I looked at her and smiled but at the same time was thinking about my dead parents. She wanted me to sit with them and talk with them.

"Hey, Autumn. Come sit with us." "Ok, Astrid." "Where are your parents, Autumn?" "They are dead. My old house was on fire when I was a baby and they saved me by risking their lives for my life." I was starting to cry as I was saying that. They were looking at her with shocking and saddened faces. Grobber was walking to the teenagers table to show them the book. Grobber knew about my past and my family's past. Her mother was the strongest warrior as her father was the best anchor in the village.

Snotlout was head over heels for Autumn but could not tell her that. He wanted to have her and only her but she is too perfect for him. To him, she was like a goddess. Everyone said good night and went back to their huts. She went to her hut and went to bed. Not knowing that she was going to be a dragon rider.

The next day, they were learning about the striker class by letting a deadly nadder chase after them. "There is a rare dragon in every class of dragons."  The deadly nadder is the smartest of its class and its spikes are poison." I was trying not to get hit and Snotlout was on my tail. I was getting mad at his childishness and I almost hit him in the face.

Astrid was passing by me and nodded as she was running after the deadly nadder. I hit Snotlout and ran with Astrid. We were trying to sneak attack the deadly nadder but Hiccup tripped and fell on me and Astrid. I was shocked and slowly was happy that he did that.

Astrid started to yell at him. I was getting mad at everyone and I walked away and went to my hut to calm down. I heard a knock on the door and it was Astrid. "What happened?You walked out of training. Why that?" "It was because everyone was yelling and fighting with each other for no reason.I am getting sick and tired of being the loner and you and the rest of the kids are not accepting me." She was shocked that I was feeling that way. She was asking me if I wanted to eat with the rest of the group. I was thinking about it and nodded.

Everyone was looking at me and as I was sitting down Gobber was worried about me. Gobber was telling me that I was doing great and I do not need to hold on to the past. Gobber was telling everyone his story of killing dragons and Hiccup left random. Me and Astrid looked at each other with confused looks. I said my good nights and went back to my hut and went to bed. In the few days that followed Hiccup was climbing through the ranks and rounds. Stoick was shocked that his only son was making him proud.

It was the day for Hiccup to kill a dragon. It was a Skrill and she was willing to fight for her freedom. I was sitting with the rest of the kids as Hiccup was entering the arena. Little did I know, Hiccup had other plans. I was shocked that did not want to kill the dragon but instead showed everyone that dragons are not monsters. Stoick was madder than ever. Stoick hit the cage and scared the Skrill, making her go into defense mode. All of a sudden, a night fury showed out of nowhere to protect Hiccup.

We were trying to find Hiccup and Astrid as the adults of the village got ready to kill every dragon using the night fury. Astrid told everyone that they needed to go to the arena. I was right behind Astrid and Hiccup was explaining his plan. "Autumn. Can you come here please?" I walked in front of everyone and to see the skrill standing right beside Hiccup. I was shocked and scared at the same time.I took a deep breath and reached out my hand. She put her nose in my hand. I smiled and looked at everyone as she was looking at me with joy and happiness.

After everyone had a dragon, Hiccup hopped on the deadly nadder with Astrid. I got on the skrill and put my hand on her back. She took off and roared in joy. Everyone was in the air after me. I was thinking of a name to call her. "What about Stormblade?" She roared like she was agreeing with me. Stormblade was like me, a fighter and loner. She got to the dragon's home to see a giant like dragon.

I was even more angry with people running away. Stormblade was making noise to get the giant dragon to look at her. The giant dragon was about to use its fire on me and Stormblade when Hiccup came and got the dragon to look at him. He was on a night fury and Stormblade was wanting some action. She flew with the night fury and both went into the clouds as the red death followed slowly after. The night fury shot at the red death and soon after Stormblade.

The red death hit Stormblade but did not hurt her. Just made her knocked out and fell out of the sky. All I saw was the sky and the fight in the sky. Stormblade covered me as we both hit the ground. Snotlout ran to where I was at and started to cry as Stormblade uncovered to show Snotout I was okay.

He looked at her with joy as I was slowly waking up to see him crying. I hugged Snotlout and kissed him on the cheek. He was turning red as his father was cheering him on.

All of a sudden there was a loud noise coming behind me. Stroick ran to the noise and I turned around to see it was the night fury and Hiccup. Snotlout picked me up and helped me onto Stormblade. Hiccup lost his leg.

We got back to Berk and everyone was happy to see everyone else was doing well. I was helping Hiccup to his hut as someone got the healer. When the healer came to the chief house. She was writing on the ground to tell everyone that we can give him a leg of metal. I was walking around the village and I saw everyone with dragons.

I smiled and saw Stormblade playing with Hookfang and Snotlout was watching them. Astrid was petting her dragon and she named her Stormfly. Ruffnut and Tuffnut were acting like fools as their dragon was looking at them funny. Their names them, Buff and belch. Fishleg was getting to know his dragon better and named her Meatlug.

The night's fury was named Toothless and he was waiting for Hiccup to wake up. We all waited for Hiccup to wake up and he did that. Astrid punches him in the shoulder and kisses him on the forehead. I did the same for Snotlout. He was blushing as I was getting on Stormblade. It is time for a new life and new adventures.
