Chapter 5 (Simon)

       Eve ran back into her room after I helped her with her dress, she seemed flustered. I smiled at the thought, it was a little funny that she would be flustered by such a small thing, but also a bit cute? I returned to my room to continue writing the poem I had been working on since Eve moved in. About twenty minutes went by, I heard the front door slam shut. Must have been Eve. I went out to the kitchen to see her phone lying flat on the counter. Then I realized my phone was no where to be found. "That girl" I shook my head with a quiet laugh. I was going to wait for her to get home when her phone buzzed, a message from someone named Angie. The message read:
"so how's the date going??"
Date? She didn't tell me about a date. I thought she said she was going out with her friends. Suddenly my body was on alert, I grabbed her phone and practically ran to my car. I tracked my phone to a bar about 15 minutes away from the pent house. I pulled up just enough to peak through the window of the bar, where I saw Eve sitting with some random guy I had never seen before. They were laughing hysterically, and clearly drunk, just like her to get drunk on a first date I guess. I sat for another moment when Eve seemed to have fallen asleep at the counter and was too wasted to even realize that what was happening right next to her. at that moment the man's face turned from a smile to a straight face. He picked Eve up wrapping her arm around his neck heading towards the door. "What the hell..." he threw her in the back seat of his car, or what I assumed to be his car. He got in the driver's seat and pulled off. Immediately I followed behind him, making sure he was bringing Eve home. As soon as he took a left instead of a right I knew exactly what was going on. I sped up to the point where I was on the guys ass honking the horn obnoxiously. Eventually the guy stopped, he got out of his car immediately looking as if he were about to fight someone. I pulled over and did the same. "What the hell are you honking at man?!" He yelled, "I'll ask you a better question and you had better answer it honestly, what did you plan on doing with her." I kept a calm front despite my true feelings. "I don't know who you're talking about leave me the hell alone you're crazy!" He yelled turning his back to me and going back to his car. I followed him and when he continued forward I grabbed the back of shirt pulling him to the ground. I stepped on his shoulder making sure he wasn't going anywhere. "Answer my damn question!" I looked down at him as if he wore an insect. "nothing man leave me alone!" "So you wouldn't mind if I took her back to her house then?" I said sternly. He was about to cry like a little baby. I mean if you're gonna do this shit at least have the balls to go through with it. I kicked him as o walked off to the back seat to grab Eve. She opened her eyes slightly groaning as I picked her up. I turned back to the man, "you're lucky I didn't call the cops." the man ran to his car and drove off as quickly as he could. I placed Eve in the front seat, as I was about to close the door she mumbled, "thanks...." And was out all over again.
