It was around 3:30am and Leon was awake turned on his back resting his head on his arm, the slider wasn't gonna get any sleep and the clock made it clear. He looked to his right seeing his husband Yuichi sleeping beside him snuggled next to him

A small smile twisted in the corner of Leon's mouth as wrapped one arm around Yuichi and hummed gently in a satisfied tone, and stared at the ceiling

"Still awake?"

The sudden voice startled the older slider who chuckled "Thought you'd still be sleep" He answered as Yuichi shifted resting his head on Leon's chest "Nope I've been up for a while" The rabbit answered with a yawn in between the words "Up for a while" and hugged Leon tighter, "Mm why?" Leon asked, "Thinking about me?" He teased "Shut up I wasn't I was just thinking" Yuichi answered rolling his eyes at the stupid question Leon had asked but the only answer he got from the turtle was a chuckle

"I'm serious Leo."

"Alright I'm listening go on what's been on your mind love?"

Yuichi didn't answer or elaborate for a while before sighing and said: "What if you didn't survive your injury?"

Leon's eyes widened at the question as he stayed silent before clearing his throat "I mean the only reason I'm alive right now is because of Donnie.." Leon whispered, "Yeah but what if you make it in time?" Yuichi said balling his fist, tears filled his eyes as he tried to force them back, Leon sighed and sat up

Shifting over to hold Yuichi in his arms as he brung him into a tight hug, "Hey look at me 'Chi I'm not going anywhere I'll be right here, and I'll be right here when you wake up" The slider said pressing his lips against Yuichi's and wiped his tears

"I-I know but just the thought of you not being here keeps appearing in my brain constantly and I can't get rid of it"

Leon stayed quiet as the only noise in the room was Yuichi crying and sniffling, "Look I know these past few weeks have been absolute hell and me almost dying.." He cleared his throat quickly "But I reassure you I'm not going anywhere and I'm not gonna" Leo lifted his chin up, Leon stared into his eyes and chuckled

"What's funny?" Yuichi questioned raising an eyebrow "Oh nothing nothing I just forgot how much of a baby you are" Leon said and earned a gasp from Yuichi "I'm not! I thought we were having a meaningful conversation!" The rabbit yelled and crossed his arms pouting "We WERE and now I'm cheering you up" Was the reply from Leon

"Haha very funny" Yuichi glared at him, "At least your not crying anymore" The slider said pulling Yuichi into another hug, trying not to cry himself

"Hey Leon can we pretend this conversation never happened?"

"Sure whatever keeps you happy 'Sagi"
