Xie lian woke to find himself laying in a pile of what felt like soft feathers, his eyelids fluttering open to gaze at his surroundings. He sat up, however for a moment it felt as if it were someone helping him up.

Xie lian felt odd, as if he was I'm his body, but not truly in it. From the pile of feathers was some odd, shiny texture of a ground.

Was there a ground? Xie lian couldn't tell. He felt bewildered, running a hand through his bangs. He rose to his feet, his legs feeling all of the sudden like a foreign attachment to his body.

Taking a step, he braced himself to fall, but surprisingly the ground simply rippled. His bare foot came in contact with the cold ground, then the other followed.

One step, then another. Xie lians mind felt fuzzy, but at the same time he had never felt more peaceful. He walked aimlessly for only moments before he heard a soft tinkling.

He turned, but all he could see was a dark Maroon brown double base. Xie lian squinted, and could scarcely see a figure dressed in a pearl white hanfu playing the beautiful instrument. Notes as smooth as a bard told poetry rang in Xie lians ears, as if reaching for him.

He looked up. There was a face, but his mind wouldn't register it. Skin only a tint lighter than his own, h/c hair with soft frosted tips, hands both slender in strong. Xie lian blinked roughly, calling out softly.

"...excuse me..?" He murmured.

.

No answer.

It was a blur, Xie lian almost wanted to scream but at the same time he felt so sated he couldn't bring himself to raise his voice even an inch.

'...what is happening?'

Within seconds, the man was infront of him, peering down.

Was he close or far? Xie lian couldn't tell. All he knew is that lips were close to his, and he could feel their breaths mingling.

"Xie lian..it's been far to long, has it not?" The melodic voice rang out, blurring Xie lians senses. Was he fainting? Falling asleep or waking up? Xie lian went to speak but couldn't. He felt a sudden amount of fatigue.

"Do you not miss your fenghuang?"
