Alex: (groans) ugh! Not school again!!

AT SCHOOL

Ross: What's up shorty?

Rocky: Looks like you survived.

Alex: And? Why don't you shut up?

Ross: (gets in her face) make me.

Alex: Oh I will.

Ross:(pushes her) Yeah right.

Alex:(slaps him leaving a mark) Respect people you asshole!

Ryland: Guys let's just leave.

Rocky: He's right. Homeroom is close.

Teacher: Today in art we will be working on a picture like how famous artists draw. I will set you with a partner and you will both work together. Ross and laura. Riker and rydel. Ryland and alex. Trish and dez.

Alex: Don't act loving because your brothers are in here.

Ryland: Right. What picture should we draw?

Alex: I was thinking of the sunset.

Ryland: (whispers) It's beautiful like your smile.

Alex: (smiles and blushes) Thanks

Ryland: (gets a post-it note and passes it to Alex)

Alex: (reads it) Okay

AT HOME

~ding dong~

Alex:(opens the door) Hello ryland!

Ryland: (is packed with history, math, biology books) Ready to study?

Alex:(smiles) Yeah.

2 hours later

Alex: phew! At last we're done!

Ryland: That was a lot! Well I gotta go home.

Alex: (Looks out the window and gasps) Your gonna go home when theirs a huge storm outside? There's hail and lightning!

Ryland: I guess I better call my mom, stormie to tell her if I can....

Alex:(cuts him off) stay.

Ryland:(dials) Hello......hey mom.....i was gonna tell you if I can stay at alex's house since the huge storm......thanks mom......ok.......bye. She said okay. She's gonna give the bus driver a note to see if it can drive me to school.

Alex: Okay. My parents are away and my brother is in his room. But he never comes out.

Ryland: Okay. What's his name?

Alex: Justin.

Ryland:(nodded as they made their way to guest room)
