⚠️Descriptions of death and injuries⚠️
Wanda didn't have time to figure out how Ultron was back, she just had to figure out how to stop him. From the looks of it, he was headed straight for the mansion with something that looked like a bomb.
Wanda immediately stood up, red magic illuminating in her hands.
A million thoughts were running through her mind as she tried to figure out what to do.
She knew she wouldn't be able to stop him and conceal the bomb on her own, so she tried to send a telepathic message to everyone else in the building. Unfortunately for her, she didn't exactly know everyone else in the building. So her mind just went to the few people she did interact with, plus some of the people she already knew, and hopefully those people would get everyone out.
Natasha, Thor, the waiter guy, Stephen, Steve, Vision. Those were the only people who came to mind immediately.
“Ultron is here. Get everyone to safety.”
She spoke through her mind, and all she could do was pray that they heard her.
She then focused on summoning her magic to deflect the Ultron bot. A red shield of energy blasted out towards the bot. Wanda attempted to wrap the robot up in an orb of sorts, hopefully keeping it from spreading too much damage. Unfortunately, the bot managed to dodge it, so Wanda threw multiple more in it's direction.
Nothing was hitting the thing, and it was growing closer and closer. She then tried something different. She tried to form a barrier around the mansion, stretching her magic as far out as it could to prevent any part of the building from being blown up.
She started with the front half, but the Ultron bot was too fast for her.
The bot hit the shield and Wanda's eyes widened as the bomb exploded.
Wanda slowly came to, but everything was blurry and her head was ringing.
She could feel herself laying on a bed of grass, and she tried to sit up, using her hands to prop herself. She blinked, but terror filled her eyes as she witnessed the sight in front of her.
The Avenger's Mansion was set to flames. Pieces of it were blown to bits, fire and shards of metal and glass were thrown all around the grassy fields.
Wanda felt her heart racing as she attempted to stand, only for a loud moan in pain to escape her mouth. She looked down and there was a large shard of glass stabbed into her leg. She gritted her teeth and used her magic to rip out the glass, causing her to let out a silent shout in pain.
She attempted to stand, but she could barely hold herself up so she had to sit back down and hold her leg steady.
All she could hope for was that everyone got out. But the few bodies that were set to flames inside and outside the mansion told her otherwise.
She then saw something that gave her a glimmer of hope. An orange portal appeared near the mansion, and out stepped Stephen Strange. If he survived, then there was hope that others made it out too.
He seemed to notice Wanda, because not even a minute later, he summoned a new portal only a few feet away from Wanda.
He stepped out and summoned another portal on the opposite of Wanda. From the looks of it, it led to a completely different area. Stephen then picked her up and carried her inside of the portal. He set her down then exited through the portal once more, allowing it to close behind him.
