-AKANE'S POV-

A week has passed since my conversation with Suguru and my breakdown with Satoru and not much has changed. I did feel better but Suguru kept losing weight.

I was walking to the training grounds when I heard someone calling "Akane-chan!" I turned around to see Suguru walking towards me, he was wearing his school uniform and his hair tied in a bun as always but he still had dark circles under his eyes.

"I have a mission on a nearby town, do you want to come? Satoru told me how you have been feeling lately and I thought to ask you" he stopped in front of me leaving some space between us. I thought for a moment "I don't have nothing to so.... yeah I'll come with you" he smiled kindly at me and I smiled back "Are you okay if we leave in 30 min?" I nodded "I'm ready, I was going to do some training so If you want to leave now, it's fine by me" "Let's go then"

-Timeskip-

After taking some trains to get to the town we finally made it. The town was pretty common and standard japanese with the tiny houses.

We arrived at the station and a group of men greeted us, well they greeted Suguru because they couldn't see me "Geto-san, were are so lucky that you could come fix this problem" Suguru smiled, but this wasn't the same smile he gave me , this was a forced smile "Show me" he said coldly and they began to walk down the street and I followed them.

After some minutes walking we arrived to a police office "I swear that this kids are demons" I blood ran cold after hearing this words and seeing were we where going. We walked down the stairs and it was getting darker and darker and we stopped in front of a cell.

My eyes widened and I quickly grabbed onto Suguru's arm and I felt him clench it. In front of us were two girls that they probably don't pass the age of ten, they were hugging each other seeking comfort and safety. They were both beaten up, with bruises all over their bodies and even open cuts. "What is this?" his tone was cold and strong "These are the demons that are causing trouble in town" My grip tighten at Suguru's arm and I whispered "they're just kids Suguru" he turned his head to the mean and said with a fake smile "Could you leave a alone for a moment?" they all nodded eagerly and went up stairs.

Suguru turned to face me "Akane, take them and hide them while I distract them, when I finish I'll look for you" I let go of his arm "Suguru, I-" my voice broke "You know what will happen if you disobey orders..." I said lowly and placed his arm around me pulling me closer to him "I'm sorry I dragged you into this, I thought that you could understand it" he paused for a moment "You know..." his voice was calm and soft but it could read a sad tone to it "You are my type of girl, I love you Akane. But I know you love Satoru more". I looked up at him with wide eyes and he placed his hand behind my neck "I'm sorry" and everything went black.

I felt a cold and hard surface underneath me, I opened my eyes and I was blinded by a bright light that seconds later was dimmed off "Akane! I'm sorry!!" It was Ieiri's voice. I blinked a few times and sat straight on top of Ieiri's table "Are you okay? you were laying unconscious at the entrance of the school, Nanami-san found you" She looked her right where Nanami stod.

He took a few steps forward to us "How are you feeling Kiyohana-senpai?" I smiled at him "Thank you for bringing me here and I'm fine" and then the memories from before hit me. Ieiri must have realized because she suddenly placed her hands on my shoulders pushing me down "Akane, rest a little you got hit pretty hard but thankfully you don't have anything" I moved her hands away "Suguru, where is he!" She glanced at Nanami and he shook his head "Go to Yaga's-sensei office" I looked at Nanami and then back at Ieiri with worry in my eyes "he'll tell you everything" I nodded and ran to his office ignoring Ieiri's screams about not running.

I opened the door without knocking only to find Satoru screaming at Yaga-sensei "Akane...." Satoru snapped his head towards me and got up, he walked past me as if I wasn't there and out the door closing it behind him.

"Suguru..." I cut him off "He did it?" he looked at me confused "You knew what he was going to do?" I gripped my Kimono at the sides "I was with him" my breathing started to become irregular "I could have stopped him..." Yaga-sensei got up from his desk "Akane, take a seat" "I-" I started hyperventilating and my body started to burn, literally.

Flames started to consume my body "Satoru!!!! come here right now!!!!" I dropped to my knees and I wrapped my arms around myself shaking.

I couldn't hear anything, only my breathing and when I thought I was going to burn myself to death a pair of strong hand grabbed my burning face "Akane! it's not your fault" Satoru was looking at my with his sky blue eyes.

I trailed down his arms until I reached his hands, they were burning like my body "Satoru, let go of me...." The flames started to get weaker and smaller "I'm hurting you-" tears started to fall down my cheeks and Satoru pulled me closer to him hugging me "It's not your fault Akane" he said softly and the flames started to disappear slowly "I'm sorry! I should have stopped him" I cried against his now naked chest because I burnt half of his clothes "I'm sorry" he held me close to him and he began to brush the back of me hair with his long fingers "It's fine".

After a few minutes like that Yaga-sensei faked coughed to let us now he was still standing there "Akane-san, rest" Satoru got up and he then helped me to get up "I'll walk you to your room Akane" I nodded with my head low.

Satoru walked me to my room and kissed my forehead, he turned around but I grabbed his sleeve "Wait! are you leaving? I thought that you were going to stay" I said quietly. He turned around with a sad smile "I need to take care of something first...." I knew what he had to take care of, but I didn't want to say the words out loud, for him and for me.

I nodded and he patted the top of my head "Don't worry Akane" I tried to smile to show him that I was fine, but he didn't look convinced "I'll be back in a couple of hours, don't worry" He turned around and just as I closed the door I heard his phone ring. I stood next to the door trying to hear something "Shoko? what is it?" he stopped talking "At Shinjuku? Okay, I'm going there" and he hanged up.

I thought for a moment if it was okay for me to go or just stay here crying myself to sleep "Fuck It!" I closed my eyes trying to remember what the diary said about teletransportation or something like that. I closed my eyes, and imagined the streets of Shinjuku and the sound the smell and when I opened my eyes I was standing in the middle of the square "Yay!" I cheered up a little and then I remembered why I was here. I looked around trying to find a white puff of hair when I realized that I didn't know how long It was going to take to Satoru to come here.

After some minutes looking around I finally say a white puff of hair, I walked to it only to realize that it was someone doing some promotion of its wig shop "Really? of all the wigs he could wear he chose the one that looks like him" I shook head and continued walking.

I wa walking thru a very crowded street, I couldn't see where I was going when I pumped into someones back "I'm sorry!" I looked up only to see his white hair "Akane?". A few meter in front of him was Suguru smiling "Satoru, take care of her" and he disappeared thru the crown.

Satoru started to shake and to shout his name "SUGURU!!" but he wasn't there.

Satoru turned to face me with a scrowling face "Why are you here?" he tone was strong "I- I- wanted to help" I looked away from his gaze "You couldn't have done anything Akane, no one could" his voice was softer now. He walked passed me "come one, let's head back" and I followed him in silence.
