Hi People. Thank you for such good responses. I caught up with works so couldn't update. Here you go...
In the soft morning light, Arohi awoke, feeling the weight of her struggles. As she faced herself in the mirror, she saw exhaustion in her eyes, evidence of battles fought within.
She whispered to herself: "Look at you, Arohi. What are you doing to yourself? You've been through a lot, but you're still standing. Your spirit might be bruised, but it's not broken."
She acknowledged the wear and tear on her face, each line telling a story of pain.
Arohi's Self-Talk: "You're strong. Others may not see your inner struggles, but you know the power within your heart."
Her fingers touched the reflection, recognizing the mix of emotions she carried.
Arohi: "You're more than broken dreams and hidden tears"
Meeting her own gaze, she sought traces of the spirited woman she used to be.
She decided to go for work. After that incident she didn't went there. She didn't know how to face everyone especially HIM! Though he comes in Goenka House often now, she didn't go in front of him. But how many days she will live like this. She can't forget her dreams of being a Doctor. She took a deep breath and went to get ready.
.
.As Arohi walked through the hospital corridors, her heart raced at the thought of crossing paths with Abhimanyu. And for her stupid fate she had to work with him according to the internship rotation. She took a deep breath and knocked on his door.
Ab : Come in....
She entered his cabin. The air crackled with an unspoken tension, and their eyes finally met. His gaze, colder than ever, feels like a torrent of frost. She composed herself.
Ar: Good Morning Sir.
He just nodded.
Ab: Arohi, it's a hospital, not a playground. A long leave without informing me? Do you think this is acceptable?" Abhimanyu's voice cut through the air with a stern edge.
Arohi just wanted to grab his collar and ask "are you for real" .. After all the mess he want to ask why she took that much days' off... like really??
But she just calmed herself..
Ar: I apologize, Dr. Birla. There were personal matters I needed to attend to." Arohi's voice held a hint of defiance, refusing to bow entirely to his disapproval.
Abhimanhu looked at her.. Abhimanyu's stern expression remained unyielding. He kind of hated the fact that she is still oozing confidence. Her face is like she is not affected by the past things happened. Or may be he is surprised!!
He just got the flashback of his conversation with his Taiji.
Birlas were having a meeting and the topic of Arohi came. It's been already 1 week she is been into work. That too without communicating it properly.
Mahima: We know according to the rules we are supposed to fire her. But since we know her situation, we should send her an official mail regarding this.
Abhimanyu looked at her surprisingly. His Taiji never used to back anyone.. Then why Arohi?
Ab : Taiji I don't think she is gonna join back here.
Mahima: I knowAbhimanyu why are you saying this. But as much as I understood, Arohi will come back to hospital for sure. She seems a pretty strong girl.
End of FB
He came back to present and smirked to himself.
Ab : So Dr Arohi since you're back, consider this a chance to prove your dedication. You have to work for Day and night shifts for 1 day. Let's see if you're up to the challenge? You can take 2 hour break after the day shift. Abhimanyu's eyes bore into Arohi's, unyielding and unapologetic.
Arohi just nodded: I understand, Dr. Birla. I'm here to work, and I'll fulfill my responsibilities." Arohi's nod was a silent vow, a promise to herself that she wouldn't break under the weight of his scrutiny. And she left his cabin.
Abhimanyu looked at her retreating figure.
Abhimanyu felt bit guilty but he just covered it up by telling himself "This should be routine—imposing a penalty for unexplained leave... for anyone".
Her not-so-affected face flashed infront of him. It was something unsettling for him. He whispered to himself "But why does her composed exterior bother me more than it should" ..
Within seconds he just brushed off that thought.
Let me know how's it :)
