Deep inside the sewers the five went. It was dark, damp, and enclosed them in. There was no exits in this area, so it would take them a good twenty minutes to walk back to one.
Nolan, the "leader" of the small group of people lead the way to where the rumored hangout should be. The four others, Peter, Earnest, Viktor, Emberly, and Luana followed close behind. The sewers being murky, they didn't want to get lost. The group had heard a rumor being in the sewers, at first they didn't want to go, but they all decided they needed a new hang out so they went to try it out.
The walking had felt endless to them. Luana yelped in surprise suddenly, "Did you guys hear that?," she asked quietly. One by one Peter, Earnest, Emberly, and Nolan shook their heads no. Luana shook it off, maybe it was just her nerves getting to her. They were about to start walking again before they heard a low growl loom from the darkness around them. No one made a sound, being able to hear the person next to them heavily breathing. A rotten smell filled their noses to the brim. "God what is that?!"
Nolan has whisper yelled as he was the first to catch the smell. "I don't know but it's disgusting!" "Can we leave already?" "I'm gonna puke" One by one everyone blurted something out. Earnest though, had stayed silent. He held his hand over his mouth. "Let's just go.. it won't be this bad later" Nolan gagged out. Nolan, Earnest, Peter, Luana, and Emberly forced themselves forward.
