June 1, 2023 Y/n's POV
Y/n's thoughts: My feet hurt! I'm hungry and tired! Wait-what was that? San Fernando Valley, CA? Population: 2,014?! DAMN it's perfect! I mean small town away from everything! From them! I could start a life here! I could meet someone- *snap* snap out of it NOW!
I walked into town limits and took a deep breath, I closed my eyes for a moment but heard something. I opened my eyes and backed up as quickly as I could as a car flashed by. I chuckled to myself, here will be different.
I continued walking for what seemed like forever with my hurting feet. I walked past the first store and pulled my hood on my head. I walked past multiple of the same looking stores. Over and over until something caught my eye. I saw a group of boys staring at me. After a second they began to walk away, except for one.
Still staring at me but now with a look of curiosity instead of shock. His friend tapped him on the shoulder and he turned away. I thought this was my chance to get a good look at him as I turned a corner, but I made the mistake of turning at the exact same time as him.
His eyes met mine and I studied his face. Brown hair, a jersey layered onto a wife beater. And then I saw his face.. shit... he's cute. This isn't a typical boy band cute, no it's the kind of cute you can imagine a life with. Even though I don't want kids, I could see us with them. I snapped my fingers, a tick I use to remind myself to come back to reality, and turned away. I rounded a corner only to hear footsteps. I began to run with the steps coming soon after.
Dang he's fast!
I turned around ready to fight... then I saw the boy?
No way he could keep up! I was running faster than I was when running away!
He looked at me with a look of shock and respect, then he spoke.. "New to town?"
"What?", I asked in confusion. "Damn you run fast! Do you play baseball?"
I stared at him in disbelief, "umm.. yeah?..."

Hi, I know this is short but this is just the foundation for the story. This is my first fanfic and I will try to post every 1-2 days.
