May (thinking): .......Promising my ass. This place is a shithole. Not the house, but the kids. They are so annoying. And that stupid blonde girl over there keeps picking on Mike.

The kids had only been there for 3 weeks, and May already had enemies. She liked no one there, because they didn't like her. They picked on her and Mike, for seemingly no reason. They would make fun of the fact that their parents were in jail and halfway across the world, or the fact that May wore "boy clothes" and Mike was a "Girly boy".

May would often get into fights with the other kids, hitting them or slapping them, which would usually get her a trip to the timeout corner. Sometimes she wouldn't be allowed have dinner. Mike on the other hand, was perfect. He didn't get into trouble due to how timid and shy he was.

1991 rolls around. The kids had just turned 13. Over the years, Mike got a bit more aggressive towards other kids, because May taught him to defend himself. One day though, May got very agitated at another kid. The kids name was a blur.. May didn't care what her name was, she was horrible. This girl was crossing a line and making horrible jokes to May which sent her over the edge.

They got in a fight, which ended up very badly. The girl had punched May, but May fought back. It was a punching battle for around 5 minutes before the other girl started crying. She has lost a tooth and chipped another along with her nose being bloody. Lucid had a bloody nose too, but she already got reoccurring nosebleeds, so she didnt care. She was standing there in front of the girl who was crying

May: "you're such a baby! Just get over it!! You started this anyway!!"

Usually, May would just get sent to timeout for this, but this time was different.

A worker sent a letter to the owners of a juvenile detention center to send May and Mike there. There were done dealing with their shit and wanted them gone.

They ended up going and getting a room with three beds and one other kid. May didn't want to admit it, but she was really afraid. She cried thinking about how she's like her parents, and she didn't want to be like them..

Mike: "Cheer up, May.. its alright! We are only here for uhh- a year! That's not too bad"

May: "I know.. but I can't help but think I'm turning into mom.. I don't want to be like her.. or dad.."

Mike: "Fuck them. It's alright! And hey. We have a roommate. You might make a friend!"

May: "I guess..."

As Mike mentioned that, in comes a girl. Mays age, with long, light purple hair and bangs. She was really pretty. May seems shocked.

May: "hello there!! Uhhh- I'm May! this is my twin brother, Mike! Heh- what's your name?"

May smiles like a big dummy. She seems very excited to meet this new girl. Mike is unimpressed by how excited May is.

Lavender: "Hello! I'm Lavender!"

May and Lavender immediately get very close. And Mike too, but he didn't enjoy having friends other than May.

May and Lavender start dating shortly after. It was just puppy love. But they were close. Other kids would never see Lavender without May.

But like all good things, it came to an end. The two started to bicker.
