My name is Rose. I'm 13 years old. For the past few years I have been finding girly things scattered around the house that aren't mine and I'm pretty sure that I am the only girl in my house. Also, in my father's room there are women's clothing in a wardrobe in the far left corner. Who do they belong to? There are framed pictures of my father and another woman all over the house. One of the pictures is the woman holding a baby. I once asked my father who it was and he misunderstood and told me who the baby was. Me. Although I don't recall ever meeting the woman in the frame. Sometimes I stand and stare at that photograph, as if some type of answer to who it was and how she knows me will just appear on the glass. My father usually steers me away from the picture before an answer shows itself. Also (and I don't know much about flowers or plant life in general) for the past six years, on the same day and in the same place (and it always seems to be snowing) a red rose grows, breaking free of its icy casing and rising towards the sun. And I don't know why....
