"Jade! Hurry up with those boxes!" My mom yelled from downstairs.
I picked up the last two boxes.
"I'll be right down." I replied. I had been accepted in to a school called AVA. I know the first A stands for American, and the last for academy, but I can't remember what the V stands for. I think it stands for valiant or something like that.
"Do you have all your things?"
I nodded.
"Clothes, enrollment ticket, school bags?" I nodded.
"Alright then, the car should be here any minute." She said with a smile.
"Oh no, my make up is going to smudge because of the tears. I love you." She said, then Wiped under her eyes. "I wish your father could have been here to see this." she said. My dad had been serving in the military, so when he was reported KIA (killed in action) we got a lot of money, which is why I am going to AVA. I heard the honk from outside.
"Well mom, that is me." I said picking up my stuff. She hugged me again.
I opened the door and saw that not only was it a big car, it was a limo.
"Coolest school bus ever!" I said. The driver got out to help me with my bags and said, "There are no school buses. Students are transported separately."
Ok then.
"Miss, you can get into the car now." he said politely.
With one more goodbye to my mom, I got into the door he was holding open for me.
The car had leather seats and a TV. Most likely so I wouldn't get bored. We lived in northern Montana and the school was in the southeast corner of Colorado. A little more than a 5 hour flight. The limo would take me to a privet airliner and from there to the school. I had been studying the packet they had given me when I enrolled. Everything except for the fact the car would be a limo was according to the packet, so at least that was something to look forwards to.
A long drive and flight later
I was back in the limo after the long flight, I slept for the last hour, until I heard the driver.
"Jade, wake up. You can see the school now. It is just over the hill."
Then I saw it. The school was a beautiful palace. Also not to far away, was what looked like a castle, all the windows were dark, even though it was day.
"What is that building over there?" I asked.
"You will find out soon enough." Was all he said.
