Ishan awoke to an empty room, a certain someone was not beside him sleeping.

He checked his phone thinking his bestfriend would've left a message for him but saw nothing. He thought maybe he was down with the team for breakfast. As he approached the breakfast table, the vibrant laughter and chatter of his teammates filled the air.

However, the one person he sought, Shubman, was noticeably absent.

Approaching Virat, Ishan couldn't help but voice his concern, "Virat bhai, shub kidhar hai?"

Virat, engrossed in his conversationwith rohit, responded casually, "Oh, woh bahar gaya hai."

The nonchalant reply left Ishan puzzled and hurt. Why hadn't Shubman informed him? With a heavy heart, he took a seat at the table, surrounded by his teammates, yet feeling a sense of isolation.

Lost in his thoughts, Ishan barely noticed Rishu's and harry's mischievous grin as he approached, teasing, "Why so dull, Ishu? Missing someone, perhaps?" Ishan managed a forced smile, brushing off Rishu's comment before retreating to his room.

"Dekh kitna suna suna lag raha hai aaj ishu, iska boyfriend kidhar gaya hai?", harry asked rishu

To that Virat replied, "harry kyu bacche ko parishan karta hai yaar, Shub ko aaj uske koi cousin ke shaadi ke preparations ke liye jana tha, usne ishu ko kuch bola nahi shayad isilye woh udaas udaas hai".

This earned a chorus of ohhhhh from harry and rishu

Throughout the practice session, Ishan couldn't shake off his growing annoyance. "Abhi tak kuch message nahi kiya isne, itna busy hogaya hai ki apne bestfriend to text bhi nahi kar sakta", ishan mumbled to himself and went to the nets

The whole practice he was not focused as his mind was already in the loop of overthinking as to why shubman didn't say anything.

This was noticed by Rohit and he made a mental note to talk to ishan after the practice.

The practice was now over as they were returning to their rooms, Rohit called Ishan as he saw ishan leaving with a sad face to his room.

"Ha ro bhai kya hua?", ishan replied as he approached Rohit

"Tu bata tujhe kya hua hai, aaj tu itna shaant kyu hai, tabyait theek hai na teri? Party ki jaan hai tu tujhe itna shaant dekhne ki aadat nahi hai hame", rohit replied with concern.

"Sab theek hai ro bhai, kuch nahi hua bas thoda thak gaya hu", ishan replied without meeting Rohit's eyes and hurriedly left for his room.

Virat saw this and approached Rohit saying, "kya hua ro kuch bola kya ishan?"

"Kuch nahi bola vi, kuch toh hua hai isiliye aisa behave kar raha", Rohit replied to virat as they walked to their room

Harry and Surya heard the conversation and thought of talking to ishan.

A knock was heard and Ishan got up thinking it was shubman but was dejected when he saw Harry and Surya.

"Ham itne bhi bure nahi hai yaar ishu aisa muh kon karta hai, kiski aur ka intezaar kar raha tha kya?" Harry replied faking his hurt

"Harry bhai aise nahi hai, kya hua aap dono yaha", ishan replied with a small smile.

"Tere waje se aayein hai, tera mood itna sada hua kyu hai yeh bata pehle", surya said nudging ishann who was again lost in his thoughts.

"Surya bhai kuch nahi hua, bas thak gaya hu", ishan replied looking down as he knew that he couldn't lie to his bhaiyas.

"Theek hai mat bata, aaram kar ham jaate hai", surya replied and dragged harry out of the room as he knew harry would protest and make ishan talk against his will.
