The next day, Jimin eyed the unfamiliar wedding band on his finger and sighed. He had tried to remove it but every time he touched it he just toyed with it. The ring looked expensive which was odd since he remembered having fake gold bands from the chapel. Did Jeongguk change it? Was he wearing a ring also? Where was he anyway? The questions kept on piling up in his mind making him have a migraine. Was Jeongguk waiting to sue him? Fidgeting, Jimin bit his perfectly manicured fingers.

A knock on the door startled him from his train of thought. The door opened and Taehyung peeked in then entered upon seeing Jimin just seated on the bed.

"You okay Minmin?" Taehyung asked as he sat next to him. Jimin nodded. They both knew he was not but Jimin was tired and worried about what would happen when they got home. How would his parents react, especially his mother? She always wanted to plan a grand wedding for him. He felt like a failure since he eloped with a man he had only seen in galas or on posters, he barely knew the man. "Are you ready to go? The cars are already downstairs."

"Yeah." Jimin stood up and picked up his phone from the bed. He pushed his luggage out of the hotel room and found Namjoon, Yoongi, and some of their staff waiting just outside. The staff took their luggage. Jimin and his band members got in the elevator along with their manager.  All the way down Jimin's eyes were fixed on the floor. He kept his hand hidden afraid that one of the staff would see it. When they got to the basement parking, their manager went out first.

"What happened to our usual guards?" Yoongi asked as they continued walking. Jimin looked at the bodyguards and realized they were all new faces.
"Shuffled. Orders from PD nim." Kwangsoo, one of their managers, said.
"Why? They were doing alright." Namjoon piped in.
"Apparently they weren't careful with you at the club. New bodyguards will be waiting for you at Incheon."
Jimin and Namjoon got in one car while Tae and Yoongi got in the other. The ride to the airport was somber as Jimin was deep in thought. Namjoon gave him his space.

The group navigated through the airport, the shouts of their fans echoing in the cavernous space. Jimin kept his head down, avoiding eye contact with anyone around. He bowed when he heard his name but otherwise refused to look up. He felt like his eyes would betray his inner turmoil.

The flight was a quiet affair, and each member of the group was lost in their own thoughts. Jimin felt a sense of isolation even among his bandmates. Taehyung and Yoongi exchanged concerned glances, but no one dared to broach the subject.

Upon landing at Incheon, a fresh set of bodyguards awaited them. They looked so buff and serious. They were ushered through the crowd of fans and out of the airport to the waiting cars. Jimin got in his car and noticed one of the bodyguards who had been constantly by his side got in the passenger seat. As they left the airport, the looming uncertainty of what awaited him at home weighed heavily on Jimin's shoulders. The familiar sights of Seoul seemed strange and distant, a stark contrast to the bustling city he had left behind just three months ago.

When he got to his penthouse, he went directly to his bedroom to shower. He was tired and wanted to sleep for the next week. He took a quick shower and dressed in baggy sweatpants then got in bed. His manager would drop his luggage later. He took his phone and scrolled through Instagram.

As he was dozing off, he was startled awake by his phone ringing. He picked up the call.
"Hello," Jimin mumbled softly.
"Jimin? Were you sleeping?"
Jimin sat up quickly upon hearing Jeongguk's voice on the other end. His heartbeat was palpated and he felt his mouth go dry. What did Jeongguk want?
"You there sweetheart?" Jimin's eyes widened. Was he hearing things now?
"Y-yes." Jimin squeaked.
"How was your flight?"
"It was okay."
"I know you may have a lot of questions-"
"Y-you left me alone hyung. I was so terrified, I didn't know what to do."
"Fuck! I'm so sorry sweetheart. I should have woken you up before leaving but you were so tired. I had to leave first since I had a meeting I couldn't miss. My hyung was there but he said you left in a hurry with no disguise whatsoever. Don't ever do that again, you hear me?" Jeongguk scolded softly.
"I was panicking."
"That's okay. We need to talk, do you want me to come over or do you want to visit my office when you are well-rested?"
Jimin weighed on the two choices. He wasn't comfortable in talking about such a sensitive matter at the office.
"Can you come over please?"
"Of course. I just have a meeting to attend before I leave the office. I'll see you in the evening."
"Alright."
"Rest a bit more sweetheart and don't worry your pretty head." Jeongguk hung up and left Jimin flustered and a blushing mess. He laid back on the bed and sighed. They had to find a solution to their problem. Jimin decided to sleep for a few hours. He sighed and let himself float to dreamland.

A few hours later, Jimin was fussing around his penthouse trying to clean the nonexistent dirt. He moved things around huffing when it didn't please him. His mother had hired a cleaning crew for him while he was away so his house was pretty much clean. He wanted Jeongguk to like his house. Jimin looked around and finally gave up. He walked over to the couches further from his living area where he had created his safe space. It consisted of a loveseat and a couch with a small coffee table in front of the couch and a small stool that had a lamp on top of it. There were duvets on the couch. He sat down on the couch and sighed. What would Jeongguk think of it? He never allowed anyone in his safe space other than Tae.

Soon the doorbell rang making Jimin jump up. His nerves came back again as he headed to the door. He didn't think he was ready to hear Jeongguk say they were going to get divorced. He looked at the small door monitor and saw Jeongguk on the other side. He breathed in sharply at how handsome he looked. He still had on his suit. Jimin walked to the door and opened it. He stood frozen as Jeongguk stared at him in the eyes. Jeongguk had the most captivating eyes ever. Now what?

"Hi sweetheart, won't you let me in?" Jeongguk chuckled softly as Jimin shook himself his cheeks turning pink. He stepped aside and ushered Jeongguk in only realizing he had some paper bags in his hands which smelled wonderful. Jimin took some house slippers from the shoe closet and put them on the floor. Jeongguk removed his shoes and put the slippers on, leaving Jimin to arrange his shoes in the closet.

Jeongguk walked over to the open kitchen as if he owned the house. Jimin followed stumbling on his feet. He was a nervous wreck. Jeongguk placed the bags on the island and began unpacking them.
"I brought dinner, thought you'd be too beat to cook. We can eat and then talk. Is that okay?" Jimin nodded. He had no words to express how he felt about how Jeongguk spoke softly to him. It was as if he spoke any louder he would spook a child.

"I'll get the plates." Jimin muttered already heading to the cabinets. He took two plates and placed them next to the food containers. Jeongguk plated the food and pushed one plate that had a lot of food to Jimin. "It's too much."

"Eat sweetheart. You are too light and I don't like it. You don't need to watch your diet at the moment." Jeongguk said which made Jimin's stomach coil. Jeongguk was so caring.
They sat on the high stools and dug in casually talking about their day. Jeongguk paid extra attention to Jimin and fed him when he got sidetracked. It didn't look like Jeongguk would sue him which was a relief and made him let his guard down a bit to enjoy dinner with his on a whim husband. Jimin's ears and cheeks had turned red from blushing at the attention Jeongguk gave him.
