Soaring into flowerwalls,
As I answer to your calls,
Blossoms as sunlit waterfalls,
Their scent thrills and enthrals;

Rainbow colours rushing around me as rain,
Crystal lakes upon which we tiptoe with our brain;
Our imagination flies high without any strain,
And as we share heart and soul we scare away pain;

Your dragon-core glistens bronze and gold,
As you are misunderstood by this cruel world;
Your gentle touch and reassuring smile
Sends blush to my cheeks, my senses you beguile;

As you lifted me upon your turquoise scales,
The flying phoenix your majestic presence hails;
As we soar into the winds blowing at our feet,
You dive into the sacred river, wrap me with your heat;

Only then your true name sparks into my mind,
A childhood bittersweet memory I had left behind;
A dropped boot in waters that almost made me drown,
Your god-like tides, saving my life, washed me upon the ground;

I whisper it in your fluttering ear,
Hugging you tightly, my dragondear;
Your eyes wide-open, shimmering with awe,
As we lose height with a haze, your soul void of flaw,
As at last we resist vertigo as you roar skyward,
And with a somersault in mid-air you renew your guard.

Decades now passed and I grew so old,
Yet your ageless gaze still shines a green so bold;
My heart ripples with secrets and wishes untold,
Yet I know with a glance the key to my core you hold;
As our foreheads join our smiles' ends, I know our souls are evergold.
