After that first meeting he started to come back, you weren't sure why but he came back just a week after that day and for some reason he seemed to have calmed down since, maybe it was because the project was over?
"Hey! Welcome back!" You said with a friendly smile "how did the project go?" You asked him, you honestly didn't know what answer you were going to get. He looked at you before saying "it turned out fine... your idea worked..." you were actually taken aback, was he.. thanking you? It was hard to tell "wow...", "what you you mean 'wow'?!" He asked with a confused look on his face. "i mean wow as in wow you are kinda thanking me for the idea and wow, it worked" you informed him, he looked baffled at your words but quickly replaced the confusion with a scowl that you were starting to think was just permanent on his face.
"so, is there anything you would like to order?" you guessed he wasn't just here to tell you how the project went and thought it would be best to do your job "yeah. that caramel coffee i got last time, you still have it?" he asked, "of coarse! our caramel items are all year round, only the cinnamon and pumpkin spice items are mostly seasonal" you informed him as he looked over the menu "honestly i don't know why they don't have every flavor of everything all year round but i guess its a business thing?" you continued to talk until realizing that you were just running your mouth "oh, sorry. What can I get you?" "The caramel coffee and a chocolate chip muffin." He told you, finally looking down from the menu to tell you what he wanted.
"Will that be dine-in or to-go?" You asked, looking up from your notepad where you had jotted down his order "dine-in, i got homework to do and everyone in the dorms are being too loud-" "do you have headphones?" You asked with a small tilt of your head, trying to be as helpful as possible.
"No... i broke them about two weeks ago, fucking headphone company can't make their shit to last-" you sympathized with his situation, nothing seemed to last long anymore, why does everything electronic break so easy?! "Well, you are always welcome here to study! Its usually pretty calm here unless some rude customer tries to make a problem out of something, i honesty don't know why they would go through the trouble." You waved your hand to emphasize it before grabbing the piece of paper you wrote his order on "I should stop rambling. you can take a seat, i will get started on your order shortly!" You walked off to make a order while Bakugo took a seat at one of the small two-seater tables, taking out a few books and several papers from the bag he brought before he started to look over them. He seemed to relax in the calm atmosphere of the café, his shoulders un-tensing and his angry scowl he always had on his face softened a bit.
You realized that you had been staring for a bit too long than what was necessary so you went about making the orders. You recognized one of the orders, it was for the No.2 winged hero Hawks. He ordered the same thing every time which was nice as he always made his order online as to avoid crowds and media, it seemed strange for a pro hero like himself to go to a small café like this but it was nice to see hero's supporting smaller businesses.
And as promised Hawks flew down and landed in front of the door to the café, opening the door and stepping through, walking towards the counter and making the customers turn their head to get a second look at the winged hero, "heyo! Got my order ready?" "As always!" You replied as you grabbed the little to-go bag and drink "thanks doll" he said as he pulled some change out of his pocket to tip you "dont call me that-" you deadpaned as you accepted the tip without complaint, already knowing he called everyone names so you were shit outa luck there "enjoy the order chicken wings" he put on a dramatic show of putting his hand over his heart "you wound me!" You shook your head as you rolled your eyes "yeah yeah now get outa here, the media is gonna be after you and you got work to do" "so sweet of you to be concerned-" "GET! GO!" you make shooing motions with your hands and he raised his in mock surrender as he backed up and turned around "see ya later!" He said with a salute "bye!" You called after him as he left, turning around and grabbing Bakugo's drink and a napkin and paper bag for his muffin before bringing it to him.
"Here ya go!" You said as you set the drink and bag with the muffin down onto the table "sorry for the wait, enjoy!" "Thanks..." he accepted the food as you nodded your head and went to go wipe down a table that a couple had just finished at, he was eyeing you as if he was trying to figure you out but he knew he could never do that unless he actually talked to you and one way to do that was through Jirou... he was going to have to talk to her later but for now he had homework to do.
