She quivered, her entire body shaking as she walked across the empty stretch of land.
It was dark and quiet, only her footsteps and faint howling from the wind were heard.
It was freezing, part of the reason why she was trembling, her breath was like a small puff of fog, being the only warmth for miles..
Suddenly she fell to the ground on her knees, limply laying on the groumd.
Her legs were dark and bruised, seemingly tired out from walking.
She sat there, her knees loosely laying spread out on either side of her.
She didnt look fazed. As her consciousness faded, only the soft pattering of wind hitting rocks and terrain was heard.

...

She wakes up, her location was unknown, but she was..warm. comfortable, even.
She had woken up in a small cot, laying in a soft, beige sofa.
"Ah, hello miss."
A gentle voice greeted, seeming as if this was a kind greeting from someone who opened the door for you.
"I noticed your legs didnt look too good, and you seemed tired, so i dragged you home."
She blinked, and looked over at the figure speaking to her.
The person had a lanky, skinny build. Their fluffy hair almost resembled that of a bunny's tail.
"So i must introduce myself. I am Rouse."
She stared at Rouse, she was still quivering, but a bit less, seen as she was in a more humid, warm environment.
The fireplace crackled and sputtered with a warm light, as the flames danced and created a menagerie of beautiful shapes.
Rouse sat down in the Uniquely teal colored, tattered armchair beside her, with a small mug.
"So, i can tell you're not from around here. What brings you?"
She just sighed, and looked away, her face one of gentle sorrow and somberness.
"Im guessing it was terrible, hm? You dont need to say anything. I get it, dearie."
She gently smiled, her face lighting up like the sun through a thunderstorm.
Rouse then eventually rises from the armchair, their mug was empty from the contents they had sat down with.
"You need anything? If you want you can stay the night, you seem like you need it."
Her posture perked as she nodded.
Rouse walks off into the kitchen, that was bathed with a golden light, coming from the rooftlight.
She was by herself in the cozy living room, still laying comfortable fondled in blankets and pillows on the couch.
The gentle breeze of the cold landscape outside was mesmerizing, as she had no need to have to actually feel the breeze to witness its dance.
A shiver went down her spine as the memory of the night before trickled through her mind.
She made a visible grimace as she spited that night with all her heart. Rouse enters the room with a new mug, heading towards the coffee table, that had lots of circle-like marks, seemingly from Rouse not using coasters for their drinks.
"Ive got a cup of warm milk with honey in it, if thats to your liking, dearie."
Rouse gently put the cup on the table making a small "clink" as it hit the hard, wood table.
She nods gratefully, taking the mug by its handle, curling her fingers around the base of the mug, lifting it to her face.
"I'll be heading to bed, make sure to get rest."
She nods, and gently smiles once more, before turning on her side, her face nuzzled into the sofa cushions.

...

And so it was morning again, and it was bright outside, the sun shined glamorously through the window panels.
"Morning, sleep well?"
Rouse walked into the room, wearing a dull nightgown.
She hurriedly nodded, placing her hand on her cheek, feeling it gleaming with blush.
"Oh, sorry. Just got outta bed."
Rouse apologized, and sat down in the same armchair as the night before.
She gently moved the blanket she was tucked in, and sat up, facing Rouse.
"Im guessing you're feeling better?"

She nods, and stretches her arms out, unfurling them.
"So, what do you want for breakfast?"
She shakes her head, declining the offer.
"Alright."
She got up from the couch, her legs still sore, but much better than before.
She was gonna ask Rouse if she could stay a little longer, but she knew she had to get home.
She abruptly walked over to the door, that was dark, and had a small glass panel in the top right corner.
"You in a hurry?"
She nods, and gently wiggles the doorknob. To her surprise, it was locked.
"I have to lock it to keep others out."
She froze, and started wiggling the doorknob nervously, not stopping.
"Woah, hey, hey, stop it. You're gonna break my door."
Rouse tried to gently move her away from the doorknob.
She quickly burst open the door, running out into the landscape which she had trecked the night before.
Rouse didnt run after her, but just closed the door, slamming it shut and locking it.
Rouse sighed.
"Oh, that cant be good.."
