☆A year later☆

A year later.

Y/N was grabbing the bags she had packed the previous night, she had learned that due to her improvement, she would be going home. She was excited to be leaving the facility. Her mom was now at the facility signing papers and she was escorted by a nurse to her mother. Her mother finished signing the papers and looked up to see her daughter, she immediately hugged her, happy to see the young girl. 

She had visited a few times and had gotten frequent updates on her daughter, especially the first month she was away. She was glad to know her daughter was doing better and was stable enough to come home. "Everything good?" The girl asked her mom and M/N nodded. "Yep, just finished signing everything." Y/N smiled, "Good now let's go before they change their minds."

Upon entering the house Y/N turned on the light and was greeted by her aunt and cousins. "Holy shit! What are you guys doing here?" She yelled in surprise before going to hug each of them, "We had to come to greet you on your first day out of the facility! We're glad you're home." Rue said as she hugged the younger girl. Y/N was happy to see that everyone was there to greet her she went to hug her aunt who seemed a bit standoffish from the girl. Noticing the woman's distant attitude, Y/N decided to give her space, she understood that it was probably awkward seeing her after what had taken place over a year ago, so she didn't pressure her into engaging with her. Y/N didn't say anything about the behavior either and just went and spoke to everyone else.

A while later everyone had broken up. M/N was talking to Rue's mother while Rue and Y/N were up in her room talking. "Yeah, nothing's really been going on with me since you've been gone, I mean I was sent to rehab a few months ago and my mom's been blaming my addiction on you and stuff, she's bee-" Rue spoke before being cut off, "Wait I'm sorry what-?" "I went to rehab?" "No, after that!" Rue looked at the girl confused, "My mom's been blaming you for my behavior?" "What?! Why? I wasn't on drugs!" Y/N yelled at the older girl, "How am I the bad influence? I didn't do drugs! Drank alcohol? yes. But, drugs no! Besides you're the older cousin how the hell would I influence you?!" 

Rue shrugged, "I don't know man." "No, that's not fucking cool. That's fucking annoying." She said before laying back down on her bed. "I was expecting to come home and everyone be peachy and miss me but your mom fucking hates me for something I didn't do. How the hell did you get caught anyway?" Y/N asked glancing at the girl, "I overdosed. Gia caught me." "Rue? Have you checked on her after she's witnessed that?" "I mean I did, but she keeps saying she's fine so, I guess she's okay."  

"Damn, I mean I felt bad for my mom walking in on me but Gia, I'd feel guilty as hell." "Do you not think I do? If I could go back and change it I would but I can't I didn't plan to Od, you did." "What the hell is that supposed to mean?" "I mean you're saying you would feel worse if Gia walked in instead of your mom if you were in my shoes." "Because I would she's younger! I'm not saying that what I did was better or worse than you, I'm just saying I feel bad for Gia." "Okay, but all I'm saying is I wasn't planning to end my life you were." "Are you serious right now Rue?!" "Yes! I am! There's a reason you had to stay in there so long and I didn't!" "Fuck you rue." "You're mad because I have a point." "Rue get out." Rue looked at the younger girl to make sure she was serious before shrugging and leaving, "Whatever."

M/N had noticed the older of the cousins coming down the stairs she seemed upset about something, "Mom can we go? I just remembered I need to do something at home?" "Uh, yeah Rue, is everything okay?" "Yeah things are fine I just need to go complete some homework, I forgot about." "Oh alright then, well, get your shoes on and meet me at the car, let me grab my purse." Rue nodded and waved bye to M/N before leaving the house and not long after her mom followed. Once the pair left M/N went up to her daughter's room, "Y/N? You okay?" "I'm fine Mom don't worry about it. I'll just be getting things ready for tomorrow." "Alright if you need anything call me." "Mhm." Y/N said as she lay on her bed staring at the ceiling. Tomorrow the girl would start school again, she would be going in person, and she'd be face-to-face with each student, but this time she wouldn't know anyone and that sucked. She sighed to herself.

Tomorrow is going to be very fucking weird.

A/N: I still feel like this was pretty short (880 words) I'm getting there though, as I said before this chapter and the prolog were already pre-written and just copied and pasted here with some edits, so what you see is all I got. Anywho! How'd y'all feel about the drama? 

Also, I forgot to mention italicized words are Y/N's thoughts.
