ALEXANDRIA

Well, my thigh was sliced open by Amber. I never liked her anyway. Now my Easter program practice is delayed by a few days. I told Jonathan to practice his axels while I'm gone, and while this giant stitch gets healed. I'm mad. My thigh was untouched, and now its going to leave a massive scar right there. And my favourite leggings were ripped. But my legs are mobile so I don't know why I'm just sitting here.

--------

The Uber dropped me off at the mall. Now time to get myself a new pair of good leggings.

'ew. hot pink leggings?' I shoved, as I tried to find the exact black ones I had before. I couldn't find them in this section, so I went to the next shop that sold clothes.

I went to the skate shop too see if I could find some thermal leggings so I can stay warm when I fall on the ground. I saw the really cute sheep soakers that I insisted I should buy for a very long time, but that wasn't what I was here for. I really did want sheep soakers. Then out the corner of my eye, coincidentally, I found someone that I didn't want to find.

I tried not to make eye-contact him because as soon as I do he's gonna come up to me and ask if "I'm okay", which I clearly am, if I'm walking around staring at animal soakers.

'Soakers?' Marcus says in my ear, from behind.

'Oh my fucking god'

'I'm here to buy soakers too.' He laughs.

'Im here to buy leggings.'

'Yeah okay, but I saw the way you were looking at those soakers' He turns around to point at the sheep soakers I was staring at for a good 5 minutes, 'I could buy them for you⎯'

I interrupted him and squealed, 'YOU COULD BUY THEM FOR ME?'

He grabs them off the shelf. 'Yes. You look like you need them.'

'I could give you a smooch right now.' I covered my mouth, and walked away like nothing happened. That's a phrase I would've told Niamh platonically, except this time it wasn't Niamh. And this time I had actually given him a smooch before.

He chuckles, 'you said we wouldn't talk about it'

'We aren't.' I discourteously said, while browsing the hockey gear like I needed any of that. Eventually I moved to where the leggings were. They were the exact ones I had before which was great, because I had an emotional attachment to them.

Once I bought the leggings I went outside to see Marcus waiting there holding the sheep soakers in one hand, and then the bag in the other.

He stuffs the soakers in my bag. 'Happy Birthday!'

'Marcus my birthday isn't until November'

He walks away before I had the chance to thank him. 'Consider it an early birthday present Dri'

--------

While walking to my Uber, I texted Marcus a thank you, because he bought me sixty-five dollar sheep soakers which weren't on my "needs" list but rather my "wants" list. I don't know where he gets this amount of money from.

--------

I was walking back into my dorm holding the bag in one hand, and the sheep soakers in my other, because they were previously sticking out prominently out of the small bag given to me for my leggings.

'sheep soakers?' Niamh says, with her door half open.

'yep'

'There's no way you bought that.'
