Chapter 1

10 years later....
Fatima's P.O.V:
9:30am on Saturday.
I woke up a little startled from my dream. I haven't thought about that day in years and the fact that I had the dream the day before the 10 year anniversary of the day my mother decided to kick me out of the house without even letting me explain to her what happened. I sat up and looked over to were my husband lays next to me sleeping peacefully and I couldn't help but smile at him. This man made me a promise the first day we met and has kept it ever since and I couldn't be more in love with him and the Two kids he blessed me with. I leaned over him and gave him a kiss on the cheek and then slowly got up out of the bed to head to the bathroom to start on my morning routine and take a long shower before heading downstairs to make breakfast for my family. These last few years has had some amazing times and some not so good times but I wouldn't change any of it for the world because my life has honestly been the best, but I always thought I at least had my mother by my side to share it with instead she listened to other people then her own daughter. Yes was my period late for 1st time since I had first gotten it at 11 and I wasn't feeling good for a few days but I wasn't pregnant especially since I was still a virgin at the time despite the fucked up rumors my ex said about me all through high school. People who I thought were friends and family turned there back on me when I needed them the most. Then senior year came along and I met Zac at a house party And we just talked the entire night and formed a friendship that became so special and grew stronger through years like that Man is my best friend first and then my husband a year later . As I'm making these last few waffles since I finished the bacon and eggs I heard my man coming down the stairs heading my way like he does every morning. Soon I felt his arms wrap around me gently before he tucked his head in between my neck and shoulder giving me a gentle kiss there causing me to let out a smile.

Fatima- Good morning baby
Zac- Good morning T, I missed you in bed this morning.
Fatima- I'm sorry I wanted to give you a little more time to sleep since you have been having a lot of meetings with your business partners causing you to work longer hours than usual these last two weeks baby.
Zac- I appreciate that babe and our little Tasmanian devils are up and brushing their teeth at the moment.(laughs)
Fatima- Really Zac.( laughing)
Zac pulls back a little from me but still had his hands on my waist.
Zac- I don't know why our kids act the way they do but your son had the audacity to tell me I had to fix my fade like i don't always have my shit lined up on FaceTime the other day and your daughter told me that I needed to step my game up when it came to my style when I dropped them off at gymnastics yesterday.
I couldn't help but laugh because even though our kids are three years old they act like they already been here before and you can expect the unexpected with them babies of mine.
Zac- That's funny to you.
Fatima- It's hilarious.
Zac- You know what let me go set this table cause apparently my family doesn't love me. ( pretends to be sad)
I turned the stove once i noticed that the waffles were done and followed behind him to the other side of the kitchen where the plates and utensils are placed and wrapped my arms around his waist before speaking.
Fatima- I'm sorry that your kids have been hitting you with some hard truths. ( laughing)
Zac- You to play to much T.( laughs)
He turned around and faced me showing off his matching smile of our children causing mine to grow bigger than before.
Zac- I love you T and thank you for being my rock since the day we met.
Places a sweet kiss on my lips and right when it was getting good two sets of little feet ran into the kitchen straight into our legs full of giggles. This caused me and Zac to pull away and look down at our toddlers that were so full of energy. I picked up our son and daughter while Zac finished setting up the table and then placed the food on top of it. My daughter decided she wanted to mush my Cheeks together with her open hands and give me a kiss causing me to smile even harder.
Fatima- Good morning bubbas, how did you sleep?
Zavier- I sleep good mommy
Zarina- Me too
Both of them laid there heads on my shoulders as I walked over to the table to sit them in there seats and they can start eating there food since Zac cut them up the way they like to eat it. He kissed both of there foreheads before sitting down himself and I followed suit.
Zac- what are the plans for today
Fatima- Me and the girls plan on meeting up at the mall for a little shopping and brunch to catch up celebrate Andi's Dad passing the company to her. How about you guys?
Zac- Well I finished all my work for the week so I'm paperwork free this weekend, which means I get to take these two to the indoor trampoline park and we may come here afterwards to watch movies. How does that sound bubbas?
Zarina- Fun! I get to practice for gymnastics.
Zavier- Can I pick the movie this time daddy?
Zac- Yes you can bud
Zavier- Thank you daddy.(excited)
Zac- Your welcome bud.
Fatima- I set there clothes out for today already for you babe.
Zac- thank you baby.
After 20 minutes we were all done eating and I decided to wash the dishes as Zac goes and get the twins ready with for there outing. I have another 20 minutes before it's time for me to get ready so I decided to FaceTime my girls to see what they are up to in the meantime.
FaceTime call:
Dani: Hey girly!
Andi: Hey Tima!
Fatima: Hey my loves! Are you guys still up for today?
Dani: Of course I already did my morning routine and now I'm just trying to figure out an outfit to wear for today.
Andi: Same are we thinking of matching low key.
Fatima: Sure, why don't we go with brown and comfy today since we will be on our feet for most of the day.
Andi: I know just what to wear now.(happily)
Dani: I'm gonna look through what I have and see what I can put together.( Smiling)
Fatima: Sounds like a plan. I just finished putting the dishes in the dishwasher and I'm going to go finish getting ready and I'll see you ladies soon. (Blows them kisses)
Dani: see you later girly.
Andi: later loves.
Hangs up.
I made sure to start the dishes before heading upstairs to start getting ready to see my girls. I had met Dani when I first got to Atlanta to attend Spellman university and me and Andi was in the same school but had ran in different circles the first few years until senior year and we have been inseparable since. Both Andi and Zac had kept me sane that year and if it wasn't for them I wouldn't have made it to where I am now. As I think about all the things that went on that year and how it led to the woman I once had called mom turn her back on me without even knowing the truth about what happened and it made me opened my eyes to see that people that are supposed to be family aren't always going to be family in the future. After a hour and half I was ready to be on my way to meet the girls. Zac and my babies had left 20 minutes ago to make it for their reservations. I headed downstairs with my purse and phone in hand and headed out the door to my car.
