Chapter Thirty-Four

I explored the mountains today.

On foot.

Not by flying through waves in the sky.

But by the trails.

Carved out by happiness.

The lakes.

They drew me.

I swam.

Across the lake.

And back.

Till I could swim no longer.

I sunk.

Mason grabbed me by my beating heart.

And pulled me back.

To reality.

But he did not take me away.

From happiness.

From him.

We swam until the light.

Gone and tired.

Told us goodnight.

And we talked to the shells.

And made love in the moonlight.
