Watching and Waiting

I am watching as my mother dies,

We are dropping like flies,

Having to wait,

Dreading my fate,

Unlike some I do not give in,

I try not to swim like a fish with no fin,

Drop from where I am,

Since I can't stand,

They walk and look down with a slight frown,

And the watching and waiting is done.
