Ch.2 First fallen petal

Melanie came home after a long day in school. The fact that she actually got to meet María and got her instagram made her mind blow. She unpacked her stuff and took a shower and did her homework. It was around 11PM and she got tired and decided to go to sleep. But then notification appeared on her phone. She opened the message and it was a text from María.

maría.d.carmen: hey it's me María! Sorry that I am texting you this late but I just wanted you to know that the stain from the coffee came off so you don't have to worry about it :) !

Melanies heart stopped for a second and then she looked at the message again. "No way! María texted me?!" She opened her phone again and she decides to text her back.

mel.alexx: I'm glad the stain came off! I'm really sorry again :(

Her heart sank as she sends the message. But after a few second she got another text.

maría.d.carmen: Stop apologizing to me it wasn't your fault!! Besides it doesn't matter anymore :) ! I looked into your profile and I have to say you have some really nice photos there!

As Melanie was reading the message she felt the butterflies in her stomach again. "She.. she likes my photos?" She whispered to her self as she messages her back.

mel.alexx: Thanks! I looked into your profile and it's incredible that you have your own band! And Spain looks like a very lovely country

maría.d.carmen: Thank you! Yes I have my own band for about 3 years now! Sadly I just play for myself now because they're in Spain but I'm visiting them on summer holidays! Do you have any special hobbies on your own?

mel.alexx: That's so cool! And yes I do. I write my own songs on piano! I would like to publish them one day but I would still like to learn something in school.

maría.d.carmen: Creating your own songs?! That's brilliant! I have to say I'm kind of embarrassed because the rest of my band are actually creating the songs. I just sing for them.

mel.alexx: That doesn't matter! You still have an amazing voice from what I heard! That's an amazing talent! You shouldn't be embarrassed about that!

maría.d.carmen: Thanks I really appreciate that! You're actually a really sweet person.

Melanies heart started beating harder.

mel.alexx: Woah. No one told me that before. Thank you.

maría.d.carmen: No one told you that before? That's strange I mean even from a person you seem really sweet and kind. Anyways it's getting late but would you like to go out tomorrow after school? I checked and we have really similar schedules!! :)

Melanie was shocked. "Go out? Tomorrow? How couldn't I say no?" Melanie immediately texted back.

mel.alexx: Sure I would love to! Where should we meet?

maría.d.carmen: 3PM tomorrow on the parking lot?

mel.alexx: Alright sound great! Goodnight <3

maría.d.carmen: See you ;) and good night <33

Melanie puts her phone on the nightstand and thinks about what just happened. "Is this a date? Or just a casual hangout?" she doesn't know exactly what she should expect from this. But she definitely hopes for the best. After a while Melanie falls asleep peacefully.
