I have her eyes, her smile, her hair, her humor, her laugh, and her big heart. I am the spitting image of my mother. Any other girl my age would be grateful for that. I've met so many people that would love to have my mother as theirs. Apparently they think it would be magical. They'd be the child of a billionaire, a pop star. But it's not like that at all. I didn't ask for this life. I was born into it, born into the flashes of cameras, born into the swarm of paparazzi, born into stalkers following me down the road, born into the life of a celebrity. It's not my mothers fault, and I hold nothing against her. She is an amazing mom. She loves me with her whole heart, puts me first, and respects my feelings. She had me 11 days after her 18th birthday, so for a single, young, mom, I'd say she raised me the best she possibly could. It wasn't until I was 2 years old that our life started to get crazy and her career took off even more. I couldn't imagine chasing a toddler of my own around with all this attention on me. But she did. She never gave up on me, no matter how bad times got. I'm lucky to have her as my mom. But sometimes I wish having her as my mom didn't involve the cameras and stalkers. But I know that's just part of her career, and I respect that. I just wish I could've felt what it was like to be a normal kid for one day. I only have one friend thats not also celebrities kids. I've tried, but they've all either been too freaked out by the paparazzi, or just wanted to be my friend so they could know my mom. It doesn't help that my mom is constantly trying to protect me from the fame. We both know it will always be like this. She's just a protective mom at heart.

"Harmony, we're gonna be late, let's go!" I hear my stepdad yell. I walk downstairs and roll my eyes, "I don't think the paparazzi cares what time we get there. They'll be there no matter what." And that's the truth. The paparazzi would be happy if we were a whole day late. They just want some pictures and some gossip.

I put my shoes on as he grabs his keys. He likes driving his own car. Security still has to come with us, and cars have to follow us, but he likes to be in some sort of control. "Well your mother cares," he says putting his wallet in his pocket. "I don't even know why we're going anyways," I say in a huff. "To support your mom, just like she supports us," he smiles. I get in the car and cross my arms, "Can I at least DJ?" He shakes his head with a chuckle, "Fine."

I connect my phone to the car Bluetooth and turn on Slut Me Out by NLE Choppa. After a few seconds my stepdad looks at me, an eyebrow raised, "Young Lady, this does not sound like the ABC's." I look at him, "I won't tell mom if you sing along." He winks, "Slut, Slut, Slut me out!" I laugh as he drives us to my moms event. "Rip off my shirt if you love me, spit on my face when you fuck me!" He yells. I scream at this point, "Dad!!" I laugh even harder. Why does he know every word to this song??

When we get to my moms event we get out and Travis walks with me protectively. He always keeps his guard up around paparazzi. The cameras start swarming us. My mom spots us and hurries over, "Hey guys!" She says cheerfully, hugging me, then pulling away and kissing her husband. "Hey mom," I give a fake smile, "Where's Aunt Sel?" She looks around and points my aunt Selena out. "Thanks," I say walking away. I hear my mom sigh as I walk off, "We have our hands full with her."

I make my way over to Selena, "Aunt Sel!" I say hugging her. She returns the hug with a huge smile, "Hey Har! Look at you lookin all fancy." I groan and straighten out my black dress. My mom told me to wear something reputation inspired because this is a listening party for that.  "If this wasn't for my mom, I wouldn't be here. Elyse didn't have to come!" I pout. "Elyse is 5, she'd get lost," Selena giggles. "I know. It's just, sometimes I wish I wasn't my moms daughter."

"Because of the paps?" I nod, "Not just the paparazzi, but the money, and the attention. I just wanna feel like a normal teenage girl." Selena tucks a strand of hair behind my ear, "I think you're pretty awesome just the way you are." I sigh, "I have one friend, one friend, that isn't the child of a celebrity. Why? Because everyone wants to be my friend just for my mom! My mom is a pop star, a billionaire, and one of the prettiest women ever! It's hard to be her daughter! I feel like I'm constantly being overlooked and put in the position of "Taylor Swift's Oldest Daughter", instead of Harmony Swift." Selena, my aunt, one of my moms closest friends, hugs me tighter than she's ever hugged me, "Harmony, honey, you are extraordinary! And friends are overrated anyways. I only talk to like 2 friends from when I was little." I sigh, "Thanks."

I'm now back with my stepdad, we're talking to Blake and Ryan. They're one of my mom and dads couple friends, because my mom is great friends with Blake. "Have you found a handsome man yet?" Blake asks me. I shake my head with a sigh, "Why, so he can ask me to buy him things with my moms money?" Blake groans, "Sweetie you will find someone that doesn't care about money, I know your mom did." I look at Travis, then at my mom from across the room, and then back at Blake, "We'll see."

I look at my mom once again and see that she's talking to a tall muscular man. "I'll be right back," I say calmly. I walk over to my mom, "Hey mom, whose this?" Her cheeks turn red, "This is... this.. is.. uh." What is she hiding? She never stutters this much. She always knows what to say, she is incredible with words. He sticks his hand out for me to shake, "I'm Derek." I cautiously shake his hand. He studies me for a moment and it kinda freaks me out, pedo. "I'm Harmony.." I say awkwardly. "I know who you are," He smiles. "You're fucking weird," I say backing up. "Harmony Andrea, language!" My mom says sternly. "He's like 30 something years old checking out a 15 year old!"

"Woah! I am not checking you out," he says throwing his hands in the air. My mom puts her hands on her head wanting to rip out her hair and groans, "Derek is my ex boyfriend, from a long time ago. Apparently his daughter is one of the lucky fans that got to come today and he brought her because she wasn't allowed to go alone because she's only 10. Guess he figured I'd be fine with him showing up." I look at her confused. I've never heard of Derek. Could he be my dad? "How long ago?" She studies my expression and nervously chuckles, "I was uh.. 17." "Mom," I raise an eyebrow and she nods. "Not doing this! Goodbye Derek, have a shitty life!"

I walk back over to Travis and pull him somewhere private. He looks at me concerned, "Harmony, sweetheart, what's going on?" I cry into his chest, "He has another daughter, he abandoned me and my pregnant mom and now he has another daughter!" I feel betrayed, I feel like screaming at him. "What are you talking about?" Travis asks confused. "My dead beat dad brought his fan girl daughter here! And turns out he's my dad! I didn't know it but he is! I didn't even know my dads name, but now I know what he looks like, and I know he has another daughter.

Travis strokes my hair, "I'm sorry sweetie." I shake my head, "No. You don't need to be sorry. You stepped up. You loved me when no other man did. You became my father figure without hesitation. You promised the day you and my mom became serious, that you would love me and protect me, and you never broke that promise. You showed me what it was like to have a father. I don't need him, because I have you. You are the best dad I could've ever asked for and I love you more than I could ever explain."
He looks at me lovingly and kisses my head, "I love you too princess."

Now I know who my biological father is. I already don't like him. He better stay away from me and my family. My mom, Travis, and Elyse, are all I need.
