in the phoenix mansion's elegant chaos, mornings were a wild symphony. lucrecia, faced the daily battlefield of getting ready. sunlight spilled through fancy curtains, lighting up the bathroom where luc's younger brother, sevryn, decided to annoy lucrecia and rearrange her brushes, perfumes, makeup kits.sevryn, with a mischievous grin in place, wielded a hairdryer like a playful weapon, messing up luc's perfectly done hair. "sev, stop it!" she yelped, trying to shield herself.
their noise caught the attention of their mom, anastasia, who shouted from a distance, "luc, sev, time's ticking! hurry up already! i don't even know why you want me to drive you to school, you can both drive yourselves!!!!"
anastasia's urgent voice set off a rush in the mansion. lucrecia, with a reluctant sigh, navigated her walk-in closet filled with designer clothes, picking the perfect outfit.
in the midst of the morning chaos, lucrecia's haven of self-expression turned into a battlefield. she balanced her beauty routine, sevryn's antics, and her mom's calls, all while keeping up the appearance of a poised phoenix.
in the grand story of the phoenix morning, each had their role – lucrecia the careful heiress, sevryn the annoying troublemaker, anastasia the mom directing the daily drama, and edward the dad who just doesn't give a fuck. the phoenix mansion, home to the richest family on the planet but also to the bitchiest girl ever seen.
lucrecia's pov
the sun beams across my face, waking me up. i slowly get up out of bed, i'm ready to tackle the day, oh who am i kidding i'd rather stay in bed then go to that horrid place we call a school, at least i'll find an outfit that screams 'i'm the queen around here' and maybe that'll show that girl who's boss.
so, my closet – a maze of designer shit that never seems to have what i want. i sigh, and settle for a black and white two piece. (pictured below)
yes i know my choice of clothing might seem a little too much for school but what the heck nothing is too much if i look absolutely stunning, i better outshine that bitch. i don't even know her name, i bet no one else does either. another reason why I'M the queen and she isn't. anyways i head to the bathroom and any shred of excitement twists into a cringe-fest. surprise, surprise – sevryn, my oh-so-charming little brother, turns the place into a war zone. Brushes, perfumes, and makeup become the casualties of his little rebellion, he is too old to be acting like this.
"sev, you seriously need a hobby that doesn't involve wrecking my life," i scowl, attempting to salvage whatever dignity is left.
sevryn, with his usual devil attitude, wields a hairdryer like he's conducting a symphony of chaos. no warning – a gust of air straight to my face, annihilating the masterpiece i called my hair, but of course i still looked amazing.
"ugh, sevryn, you're pushing it today!" i snap, irritation and the desire to throttle him bubbling up in a toxic mix.
the bathroom echoes with our daily disaster, and now i'm stuck – restoring order to my sanctuary while resisting the urge to punch the annoying menace that is my little brother. the phoenix mansion, living up to its name, thrives on this daily soap opera of everyone fighting all the time.
time skip, we arrived at school
people were whispering, and it felt like the usual attention i get but less. patty bladell, that mystery girl, was nowhere to be seen. i thought i was back on top, ruling the hallways.
in class, things felt off. the usual admiration was quieter. i didn't get why. maybe it was patty's fault, or maybe people here in georgia are just weird. anyway, i brushed it off, thinking the attention would come back.
time skip once again sorry :))
at home, my parents, edward and anastasia, were more into their big company than us. sevryn, and i did our thing in our rooms since we knew we wouldn't be getting any attention from our parents any time soon.
feeling the weight of having patty as a competitor, i ran to my walk-in closet – a dream for a fashion lover. surrounded by chanel statement pieces, louboutin red bottoms, shelves covered with birkin bags, any designer item you can name, i slowly let myself fall to the floor and cry. having competition was like facing a storm, and i hated it.
christian's pov
from where i was hiding, i saw lucrecia cry in her closet. tears in a room full of fancy stuff, how interesting is it that a girl with everything she's ever wanted is bawling her eyes out because of a girl that is nothing compared to her, don't get me wrong patty is pretty but she's nothing compared to my beautiful lucrecia. patty messed up the usual order where lucrecia runs the place and where she makes the rules, but this, this is something new.
things were changing. i realized that lucrecia, was figuring out emotions. which got me thinking... this could be a way to snake my way into her perfect little life and she could be mine. the clash between patty and lucrecia was set to uncover hidden stuff beneath her classy exterior.
to be continued.....
