Mountaintops with plenty of snow fallen and still falling upon them.

The wind howling, carrying the ever falling snow.

Then, we see a raven.

It is flying somewhere.

After some time, we see it flying through desert canyons.

And finally, we see the capital of Lordaeron.

Its beautiful spires reaching high towards the skies.

The raven flies towards the castle itself.

A council is taking place within...

"We've received reports that the orcs are regrouping."

"Certainly the recent attacks against the interment camps are evidence enough."

"Agreed. The Horde IS on the move."

We see the throne room, where Terenas Menethil, king of Lordaeron, is holding a council.

Councilman 1: "This is absurd. My nation will not stand by and watching he orc masses on our very doorstep."

One such councilman, however...

Councilman 2: "The orcs are not our primary concern here!"

He turns towards King Terenas.

Councilman 2: "How many times must I repeat myself? King Terenas, you must heed my warning. This plague that has gripped the northlands could have dire ramifications."

His fellow councilman simply cannot agree.

Councilman 3: "Plague? You wizards are just being paranoid!"

While they were arguing, a crow flew into the throne room, circling above the king, getting his attention.

As soon as it happened, the black avian landed right in the center of the room.

Councilman 1: "Let's keep all this in perspective. Even if this "plague" does pose a threat to us, what are you proposing that we do?"

Meanwhile, the king continues to watch the crow, sensing that it is no bird, after all. However, that is yet to be seen.

Councilman 2: "It is simple. As I have said, the Kirin Tor are already prepared to place the villages under strict quarantine. In the meanwhile, the progeny himself has offered to find a cure, or anything rather, to help us fight this plague."

This got the king's attention.

King Terenas: "I will not institute quarantine without proof of your claims, Ambassador. The people of Lordaeron have suffered enough without becoming prisoners in their own lands. Until you present proof, we must place our faith in the progeny , so that he finds both the proof and the cure that we all need."

Right atfer saying that, the crow began emanating green light, accompanied by green mist, which surrounds it. From the green mist comes a robed man, holding a wooden staff, like a walking stick.

Man: "Yet, prisoners they are, good king. Your prodigy will find the cure, albeit too late."

His entrance and words caused words of shock and murmurs among the people around him, as well as indignancy of the king.

King Terenas: "What is the meaning of this? Who are you?"

The man, ignoring the king's questions, began to speak in riddles...

Man: "Humanity is in peril! The tides of darkness have come again, and the whole world is poised upon the brink of war!"

One of the ambassadors had enough.

Councilman 2: "Enough of this! Guards, remove this madman!"

As the guards behind the man began to approach, and one of them grabbed his shoulder.

Man: "Hear me! The only hope for your people is to travel west, to the forgotten lands of Kalimdor."

Councilman 1: "Travel west?! Are you mad?"

But the kind intervened.

King Terenas: "Hold, Ambassador."

He then looked at the man in front of him.

King Terenas: "I don't know who you are or what you believe, but this is not the time for rambling prophets. Our lands are beset by conflict, but it shall be we who decide how best to protect our people, not you! Now, begone!"

But then...

Man: "I failed humanity once before, and I will not do so again. If you cannot take up this cup, then I shall find another who will."

With that, he slowly began to take his leave.

When he left...

King Terenas looked at one of his advisors.

King Terenas: "Have you written down what he said? This warning of his."

The advisor nodded in silence.

King Terenas: "Send it in a letter to the prodigy. Maybe he can shed light on what it means."

Even then, the man's words are heard in the wind.

"The warning has been given. Their fate is now their own."
